I can't think of another movie that moved me as much as American Beauty did, ever. Simply put, one of the greatest movies ever made.

When I first watched American Beauty, I really enjoyed it. Then I watched it again a few months ago, and it just depressed me.

SPOILERS AHEAD..... (even though you find out how it ends in the first line of the movie!)





Yeah, I guess you have to be in the right mood. I've watched it and had it just depress me, unless you can get into the whole "beauty in everything" idea, it's really just about a loser getting killed over nothing.

I'd say the plastic bag scene is really the most important scene in the movie. If that does it for you, then you'll love the movie, but if you think it's dumb, then you'll probably hate the rest of it.

And, by the way....


You're mentally challenged if you think Dan is gay.
