I always feel that I know someone better once I learn a few things about them. The interview post gave me quite a few neat insights into his life and character. Always cool.

Not that I actually like him now. I still think he is an arrogant ass. But now I respect him more for being an arrogant ass. :laugh2:

Darin and Jim, that was awesome!

Darin, I know your longest posts are usually in religion which I don't get to much, but this reminds me of why I do remember why I think you too are 'brilliant.' It seems you don't always think so, but do remember you are judged by the company you keep and the friends you make, (I guess that's kudos to Jeff and Jon and Jim too!) Sometimes you say more in 4 sentences than I can spit off in 2000 words.

I agree. Great interview. I've know D for several years now and I learned a bunch of new things.

I even learned a few things I didn't know about myself. :cheers2:

Not in this state - she was 17. :) I was...yeah...22 on our first date. Creeps me out a little bit now.

Course, I'd have nothing to fear as nothing 'carnal' happened until 10 Aug 96 - about 4 hours after the "I Do's" were uttered. Friggin-frackin. :)

Ahem.

Abbey - you're a DEAR dear friend; and your opinion of me is vital to my self-esteem. Really. :)

:D

Ah, I see you are from the, "If it doesn't get a laugh the first time, try and try again", school of thought.

You bet--anything for a giggle--besides--it might have gotten overlooked the first time. :laugh2:

Great story, dmp. Your wife married you, and you have been giving her a hard time ever since. :)

I was a much different girl. I didn't want to marry a hacker. So I made my husband-to-be get in a lot of practice rounds first.

backhanded compliment

What might at first sound like a compliment but could/should really be taken as an insult when considered in its entirety.

One thing I should have added re: Working here as an Admin:

The thing which REALLY gets me weirded out is when I have no trouble, or even no contact with folk, then, out of the blue, they go OFF on me as if I'd slept w/ their sister. It's weird.

You know Darin, I once thought of you as a cocky SOB. Talked with Jim many times about it - he tried many times to change my mind, but I'm a stubborn old lady! After reading that interview, you are now okay in my book! (Take that as a compliment buddy, I don't give many!)
