I thought he said he lowered taxes--maybe he said both. I'm realizing how much Gulianni DOESN'T belong on the same stage with these guys.

From what Ive seen tonight. McCain, Huckabee, and Giuliani are taking shots at Ron Paul. Thompson and Romney are focusing on McCain and Huckabee.

Tells me alot about them. They think they can pick on Paul to look good. makes me think Huckabee and McCain can't challenge Romney or Thompson.

Oh for crying out loud! Would somebady tell Giuliani to shut up about 9/11 already?! We get it it, you were mayor of New York on 9/11. We will never forget. It is not enough to get you elected! If that's all you've got, go home!

I tend to agree. Thompson did well, perhaps his best showing to date. I think he did better than the rest of the field. I doubt, however, that it will be enough to propel him into the top tier ofcandidates.

I get the impression that he is less than thrilled with the debates, particularly the questions and the formats. We know he has a fair amount of disdain for the media in general and I tend to think that those feelings crossover to the debates.

Thompson strikes me as a man who wants the job, he believes he can do the job and do it well, but he possesses a strong distaste and contempt for the process one must go through to get the job.

From what I have heard him say in interviews, that is exactly right. He will do the job but isn't interested in the politics of running.

That pretty sums up my feelings about Thompson. Though I don't think his late entry to the process is as much to blame as is his seemingly lackadaisical attitude towards campaigning in general.

Thompson is still my choice. He does disdain the media. I do too. The only reason he is not moving forward faster is that the media is not covering him and lauding over him like they are for gulliani and romney.

Huckabee showed that he's a flip flopper and a rino. Paul showed me that he's IS a complete nut case and doesn't even warrant consideration. He doesn't believe the conspiracy theories about 911 anymore. So he did at one time.

mccain's an appeaser and I don't want anything to do with him. He's everybodies buddy and that's not what we need in the presidency.

Well I just see Romney as much more "presidential-like" than Thompson - he doesn't want it bad enough IMO...

Regardless, I still think either way would be a great ticket against Shillary/obama...

I really doubt that she will pick Obama, She has nothing to gain in doing that, because if she is the nominee, she will already have the black vote. If she is smart she will pick someone who can bring her more centrist/swing votes, like Richardson.
