From NBC/NJ's Mike Memoli and NBC's Mark Murray
PAHRUMP, NV -- Bill Clinton joined his wife in targeting Barack Obama's statement about Republican ideas, saying that his "legs fell out" when he read it.
"Her principal opponent said that since 1992, the Republicans have had all the good ideas," Clinton told a crowd in Pahrump this morning. "It goes along with their plan to ask Republicans to become Democrats for a day and caucus with you tomorrow, and then go back and become Republicans so they can participate in the Republican primary. I'm not making this up, folks."

He then asked which ideas were better in the last 15 years "than the new ideas I brought to Washington," outlining issue-by-issue where Republicans stood on his accomplishments.

"I can't imagine any Democrat seeking the presidency would say they were the party of new ideas for the last 15 years. But it sounded good in Reno I guess," he said. "So now it turns out you can choose between somebody who thinks our ideas or better or the Republicans had all the good ideas."

Clinton, sporting a bright orange tie, said his wife's campaign is "stock-full of new ideas," and also that she has brought about real results for others her whole life. "So you have a choice," he said. "Do we have to start all over again and say thank you very much all those people who fought those against the extreme right wing of the Republican Party.., Or do we want someone who's a proven change maker?"

Of course, one could very well argue that many of the accomplishments from Clinton's presidency were based on GOP ideas. Welfare reform. NAFTA and free trade. And an emphasis on tax cuts.

Where is New York's Senator Clinton while aircraft in her state's airspace keep getting closer to midair and on ground collisions? Oh, that's right she is in Vegas and Michigan and South Carolina trying to buy her way into running the entire country. She can't even handle the serious problems she claimed she would solve for her own constituents.

Another Near Collision Rattles Newark Liberty
Continental Flights Came Within 600 Feet On Jan. 16

Tamsen Fadal NEWARK (CBS) ― There was another near mid-air collision at Newark Liberty Airport Wednesday, forcing the Federal Aviation Administration to call an emergency meeting on the matter.

For the second time in two months two planes nearly hit each other in the sky. On Friday morning officials tried to determine what is happening and the FAA said it will take measures to ensure against these incidents happening again.

For hundreds of passengers on board Continental Flight 536 from Phoenix and Continental Express Flight 26-14 from Halifax, it was a close call and a frightening Wednesday afternoon. As the planes came in for landings, the space between them became very narrow -- to the point where there was only 600 feet between the two.

"When you have two massive planes, each with hundreds of people and tons of jet fuel and flying at hundreds of miles an hour and coming within 600 feet of each other, that's a big deal," Sen. Charles Schumer said.

Newark passengers shared Schumer's sentiment.

"It's a little bit scary but you gotta go with it and believe you are going to get where you have to get on time and safe," said passenger Darlene Richards.

Investigators blame an air traffic controller at TRACON -- Terminal Radar Approach on Long Island -- who was supposed to give the Continental Express crew the tower frequency for Newark, but instead guided the crew to the wrong frequency, the one for Teterboro Airport 13 miles away.
