I can vouch for the fact that this slimy bastard has liked the Giants for as long as I've known him.
While I do think NE was the best team this year, the NFL has always gauged who the best was by who brings home the Lombardi. As much as I hate to admit it, the Giants earned the right to claim "the best" title for this year.
Like they always say, the regular season is just a race to the playoffs, and once they start everyone goes back to 0-0. Giants finished the playoffs at 4-0 while NE finished 2-1.
