Come to think of it, maybe I should positive rep her for that....

Anyway, for the record: there is no such thing as a Super Bowl party for homos unless you serve quiche, sushi, and fruity mixed drinks with tiny umbrellas; and you decorate the TV room in lavender and pink.

Noooo. Grey Cup parties are exclusive - Canadian homos only.

What's the difference between Canadian and American football - I find ours isn't so stop and start, but my attention span is somewhat limited when it comes to that sport.

We lost our team years ago, I'm still amazed that the Senators are back (physically in Ottawa, again, that is.........).

I call it "cat shit". If you make it you'll understand.

Easily cut in half.
**********************

1lb Jimmy Dean hot sausage (ground)
1lb hamburger
1lb velveta cheese.
1 package deli cocktail size rye bread

Mix the sausage and hamburger together WELL, cook in large frying pan, breaking apart into small pieces. Drain
Mix in cheese to melt, stirring for even distribution...spoon onto deli cocktail size rye bread.

Note: These are heavy...3 can easily kill your appetite or at least take the edge off.

That sounds good, only I hate velveta. Monteray sprinkled on top, maybe?

And btew, I tried your horse radish and califlower recipe - fantastic.

You created a new dish! It was for Broccoli but if it works on cauliflower too that's great! I'm glad you liked it...I rarely get any feedback. Thanks!

I suppose your cheese of choice would be fine...just mix it in and let it melt.

Broccoli with Horseradish Sauce

1/2 cup ......Mayonnaise
2T..............Butter or Margarine...Melted
1T..............Prepared Horseradish (I prefer Kraft)
1T..............grated onion (yellow is best, white is okay)
1/4 t...........Salt
1/4 t...........dry mustard (Colman's)
pinch of crushed red pepper

1 Bunch Broccoli

Combine first 7 ingredients and stir well. Chill 3-4 hours
Serve over cooked Broccoli

Notes to ya'll:

I have substituted salad dressing for mayo. It's not as good.
I have also used margarine..Not as good as butter.
I prefer Kraft cream style prepared Horseradish,
but have found most high quality brands work as well (no chunky stuff) .
I grate the onion medium to fine almost to a mush.
As far as red pepper I add it until I can see it in the entire mixture (a pinch isn't enough for me)
Chill time...I have found as little as 1hr. to be fine.
I steam the broccoli.

If ya try this you'll love it, if you don't like Broccoli you will. I guarantee!

*Excellent with a Beef main course*

I would add some cheese. :laugh2:

The thought of eating it with cauliflower wasn't very appealing, but was it ever GOOD! I migh try this if my brocolli hasn't turned yellow, yet. :laugh2:

Let me ask you a question Mr. P, every time I go in the store I look for "grated horseradish," but I can never seem to find it. I find tons of horseradish "sauce" near the ketchup and mustard, but not fresh grated. Am I looking in the wrong place? Where the hell is the GRATED horseradish to be found in a store?

My dad gets it all the time, but I don't know where he finds it in the store. I'll ask next time I talk to him.

He loves the stuff on pot roast.

It's in the dairy section, most good horseradish is refridgerated. Try there

I mix it with ketchup to make fresh Cocktail Sauce, but it tastes pretty good in a Bloody Mary too... :D

I'm not sure where it it manufactured but it is common to find in stores in the northwest.

I suppose the best would be to use actual horseradish root and grate it fresh.

I'd vary the recipe as follows:

1. Mix the sausage and hamburger together, and roll each into 2-inch long cylinders, about 1/2 inch diameter. Brown in large frying pan and drain.

2. Fill a long, flat baking pan with crushed crackers or nacho chips (at least 2 pounds worth).

3. Add the meat cylinders to the baking pan and you now have "cat shit" in a litter box.
