Now, when it comes to security and police there are two important differences. A security guard or officer works for private interests. A police officer works for public interests. But there's a bit more to it on the police side I have to say. A police officer doesn't work for your interests as a citizen. He or she is disinterested in your interest, he or she is only interested in public common interests. If you employ a security officer then he or she is interested in protecting your interests as an individual.

Why? What's wrong with digging ditches? I am of the opinion that any job a person does to earn their way is an honorable job. A ditch digger is no less important than a doctor.
