My husband and I voted this morning, before he went to work. It was as crowded as the last general election. Of course, there are some state propositions on the ballot as well that are drawing some attention.
I was listening to some of the infamous "exit polling" taken by some of the radio/TV stations. McCain and Romney are running neck and neck. Hillary has a slight edge over Obama.
It's a bit different down in Los Angeles. My brother-in-law said that Obama is drawing a large amount of the Mexican vote. The few Mexicans that are voting Republican are going heavily for Romney.

If I could, I would vote against the Indians having casinos altogether. Since they refuse to submit to independent audits like other states. The only reason they want to expand their numbers is because they have so grossly mismanaged their original allotment.
Fuck allowing them to use the gas tax for outside purposes as well.

You may want to clarify this for me. The tribes that are recognized have very specific rules about who are and are not a part of the tribes. Cherokee, which require the lowest amount of "indian blood", have to be able to proove they have a direct famly member on the Daws Rolls.
Or are you possibly talking about expanding the number of casinos?? In which case I agree with Manu, they are a sovereign nation and can do whatever they want.

the sovereign nation thing is an interesting argument....if they are sovereign and can do whatever they want.....why are the supported by our federal and state governments and our federal and state infrastructure.....seems to me they have it both ways....
