Who is interested in aggravating relationships between Russia and Ukraine, or interfering into internal affairs of Ukraine?
The Conference "Rehabilitation of Nazi Criminals in Ukraine. Attitude of International Community" convened in Moscow on February 12, 2008. The organizers and participants of the event are the leaders of "Eurasian Movement" and "Eurasian Youth Union". For some reason an Israeli public figure, Head of the Department for Public relations of the Congress of Jewish Religious Organizations and Associations has been invited to take part in the event.
Holding the Conference with the participation of so-called international community seems to be an ambiguous issue.
Having in mind the current unstable situation in the bilateral relationships between the countries raising such topics for discussion itself could complicate the dialog and understanding especially on the eve of negotiating the gas issue between Russia and Ukraine, the issue that makes European community concerned.
In all civilized countries which Russia used to be considered such kind of events are considered as non-delicate, in particular before the visit of the Ukrainian President to Moscow. This circumstance can not help to the Kremlin to develop friendship relationships including those with the EU members. One could witness how the last "gas threat" turned out for Russia and the EU.
It was known that the issues related to historical assessments of the 1933 Famine and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army activities were not planned to be considered at the meeting of the "Yuschenko-Putin" Commission.
Thus, a number of questions emerge:
-If it is connivance or double-face of the official Kremlin, or unity of views of Putin and Medvedev?
-In his statement at the session of the State Council "On Russia Development Strategy to 2020" Putin stated that "irresponsible demagogue, attempts to split the society and use foreign assistance and interference in the course of the internal political struggle are not only immoral but also illegal. They humiliate the dignity of our nation and weaken our democratic society".
-If it is Russia's double standards. Then what we, the Europeans, should do?
-What kind of international community's opinion will be formed by the representatives of the "Eurasian Movement" and "Eurasian Youth Union"? And what the Jewish have to do with it?
-Could it be that Russia is trying to strengthen its right to interfere into internal affairs of independent states and inflame internal conflicts in those countries?

I heard mention on the news that russia was retargeting some of its nukes at Ukraine. They are strengthening and returning to their old ways. Look for conflicts with their neighbors soon as they attempt to reestablish the old ussr.
