well.....based on the primarys to date .......there are about 30% -40% more dems voting than pubs.....so even it will take a massive dem defection to cause obama to lose.....

DALLAS -- Security details at Barack Obama's rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena.

The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security.

I tend to agree with you that someone will try to take a shot at him. I doubt it will be a black radical, but stanger things have happened.

As for a race war, there would be rioting in the cities, I completely agree with that. I doubt it would spill out into the rural areas or suburbs though since I think the police would be able to contain it. I also don't think middle class blacks would join the rioting.

I'm to young for the civil rights era, but my parents talked about the blacks rioting and it was contained in the "black" areas of the cities.

Your parents would be correct. Usually when blacks riot they burn down their own houses and businesses. Makes me glad I live out in the country.
