Michelle Obama made an extraordinary statement this week for the wife of the leading Democratic presidential candidate.

Speaking at a Wisconsin rally on Tuesday, the day her husband was about to win his 10th straight primary victory over Hillary Clinton, she said: "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

That would be a jarring statement from anyone who has paid any attention to what this country and its citizens have accomplished, endured and overcome in recent decades. It is not just the conservative bloggers who are denouncing her remarks. Even some Democrats winced, and Michelle Obama can be sure her words will come back to haunt her husband this fall if he is the Democratic nominee.

When this first hit, seemed many called 'foul' as she used a qualifier, "really". In reality, she used that at the second event, not the first, after already the first was getting going on the net.

Yep...they knew what she said, so they immediately went in and tried to change it by adding "really"...but it's all on video..

I don't think this one will be able to be swept under the rug...

Maybe Barry Obambam should invest in a roll of duck tape........:laugh2:

This is exactly the attitude that makes it so much more difficult for me to be proud of America. Thank God most of us aren't so obsessively stubborn.

Dear me.......aren't you just a little dramatic-in your not proud of America ....You sound just like Michelle Obambam..

No wonder it bothers you so much when people point out what she said..

And stubborn I am...and proud of it...and proud of my country to boot...

I never thought I would every say this...
But I almost think I could stomach the Shrill more than I can the charlatan Jim Jones Obambam...

At least with the Shrill she openly speaks of her socialist ideas...
Obambam has kept his hidden with sermons that mean nothing, except for he is going to CHANGE THINGS.... but his radical socialist ideas are there if people look deep enough..And to me that makes him more dangerous...

no one is saying you have you be proud of your heritage. just dont pretend you are a patriot or actually care about whats best for everyone.

One day you may come to realize that patriotism and fascism aren't equivalent.
