View Full Version : The Afro American block vote trap

I have a theory that the Democratic Party is in a trap and is very worried... Obama is ahead of Hillary in population and delegates support but recent events may damage the "chosen one" in the general election... Damage him but not enough to put Hillary over the top in popular vote or delegates.

If the upcoming PA, WV and NC primaries indicate Obama is getting most of his support from the "black vote" and has lost "white men" what is the Democratic Party to do? Hey he's still ahead of Hillary... to Super Delegate Hillary into the nomination would destroy the "Afro American" block support for the Democratic Party.

This is critical... a know loser (to the party) has the vote to be nominated but will surely lose in the general election, what is the party to do?

I think they will ask Obama to step down quietly.

Or, if he refuses then he must be eliminated even if deadly force is necessary in order to save the black block vote for the party.

Will the super delegates select Hillary if they determine she is the only one that can win in the general or will they sacrifice the election knowing Obama can't win?

If, in upcoming primaries it is apparent that Obama's support from white males (dem & rep) has dropped off will the party still support him knowing many of those who supported them before the Rev. White period may not support him in the general. If they use super delegates to nominate Hillary then the black vote is lost for the general election because they will be angry along with the youth vote that Obama inspired... They will have to get him to step down or kill him to save the black vote for the party.

You sound like the tools that SNL makes fun of. A dimwit that swoons over every little thing Obama says as if he is Jesus Christ.

His speech was one of his worst he has ever given because it was done out of political necessity, and everyone knows it.

If the polls in the following days show a downward trend for Obama he must step down even if he is in the lead.

The polls in upcoming days following his speech will tell a lot... He will be forced into hard interviews to answer specific questions... Fox News Sunday host was promised by Obama he would attend an interview and last Sunday Cris Wallace put up a time lapse clock how long it had been since Obama promised to come in for questions... It was a days, hours, minutes and seconds clock that will demand Obama come in and face the fire... He will be eaten alive on nationwide television.

Americans want to come together for the most part.

I think the only one expressing this sentiment is Obama.

I think it would be good for America to come together.

You seem to think it would be good for us to stay at each others throats for four more years.

I dont know why you see so little hope for our country.

I dont know why you see so little hope for our country. If America rallies behind Obama then America will come together because there will be a Democratic super majority in congress and with him as president and congress at his will he can do as he likes. That doesn't mean Obama will fix all that is wrong in America, it means the Democratic liberal ideas will be forwarded. You cannot litigate or legislate love and understanding! Obama cannot pass a law to make anyone and everyone to love each other no more than he can pass a law to be FAIR to each other. He is one man seeking public office and that is about it... after that there is the hundreds of other lawmakers that have their agendas...

I just don't think he can be trusted because he covered for a bigoted reverend and continues to cover his butt like any other politician.

You think America is at each others throats... I don't see that but I do see political ideology extreme differences... some see national security and others see social support as priorities... that is not at each others throats... That will remain to exist regardless who is elected.

I'm betting Obama is getting fitted for a bullet proof vest or considering that VP position if it is still being offered.

If that isn't a generalized feel-good blanket statement I don't know what is. What exactly are we all going to "come together" on? Morals? Is Barack going to magically get everyone to agree on abortion? Perhaps in finance, he can tax the rich and middle class and redistribute the income to the poverty class that way we can all feel like we're "together"...just like 'ole communist Russia.

You seem to think it would be good for us to stay at each others throats for four more years.

You liberals seem to have thought it was a good idea to stay at each others throats for the last eight, why stop now?

I dont know why you see so little hope for our country.
Why is it that we have no "hope" for our country just because we oppose this shitbag liberal Obama? You act as though speaking out against Obama in any way is harming our country. I have plenty of hope for this country. If we defeat this empty suit it will do our country alot of good. The more and more we can explose Barack as the flamming liberal socialist he is, the more the truth is exposed, the better off this country will be.

God! I hope you are wrong!

I won't vote for Obama, but if what you say were to happen, I would lose total confidence in our political system. I mean, it seems corrupt as it is, but if politics stooped to this low it would be no better than the mob of Al Capone's era.

Dems will rally behind Obama once they realize that he is the candidate that can beat McCain in the general election.
I have my doubt that Hillary can defeat McCain. She has polarized too many people. Plus, Hillary has WAY too many skeletons in her closet.
Obama can attract the voters who are disenchanted with the Bush administration. Not to mention those who want to end the war.

Obama is not only galvanizing black voters. He has young voters in his corner as well.

I originally thought McCain would have the toughest time against Obama. But now....it would be a breeze compared to Hillary. There's no way Obama is going to win over moderate white voters now that his racist ideology has been exposed through his pastor. Throw in the white libs what will vote for Nader....McCain has an easy victory.

You don't think people can see through the obvious racial smear ploys?

McCain will be opposed by everyone who is fed up with the whole Iraq boondoggle. He will have next to zero support among young voters, minorities and women. Not to mention the old school Republicans who believe he is too liberal.

McCain will be lucky to win 20 percent of the national vote.

You have no idea how people in those states feel about the Obama - Wright association or you wouldn't say such a thing. This is a trap that the party is stuck in... these states will put into question all pre-Wright support for Obama and the party's ability to pull a rabbit out of the hat. I see the Democratic Party self destructing over the irony as they PC race to death losing the block black vote forever.

What do you think the Dem Party should do if Obama tanks in these upcoming states but is still in the lead?

Do you know what is sad about this statement?

It should not be about whether or not Obama can beat McCain simply because Obama is a Democrat and McCain is a Republican... but that is all it is. It should be that people will rally behind Obama because he is a great leader or has a message of hope or has a plan for the future or whatever.

Unfortunately, you are right, the only reason Dems will rally behind Obama is because he is a Dem or for some it might be because he is black. TM for instance will vote for Obama because he is a Democrat. He could spout off things about enslaving all white people and TM and many like her would vote for him anyway.

The same holds true for a heck of a lot of Republicans even the ones that can't stand McCain. They'll hold their noses and vote for McCain because he is a Republican. Although this time around, I think McCain has as many Republicans opposed to his nomination as he does Democrats... but then they will vote for him because he is a Republican.

American politics is not about "who is best for America". American politics is about nothing more than "what initial does that person carry behind his or her name".

McCain leads 46 percent to 40 percent in a hypothetical matchup against Obama in the November presidential election, according to the poll.

That is a sharp turnaround from the Reuters/Zogby poll from last month, which showed in a head-to-head matchup that Obama would beat McCain 47 percent to 40 percent.http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN1824791220080319

That someone will try to kill Senator Obama this week... I base this on circumstantial evidence this thread is based on. If this happens who would be the prime suspect? Would it be a racist? Or, would it be a Democrat that really wants to win in 08? Which has the motive? Obama is a winner that is damaged goods and will surely lose in the general election... More tripe from the intellectually-incompetent mental midget.

In case you missed it, the global movement to industrialization, including India and China in particular, is the major reason for crude oil prices rising beyond historic highs. Sooner or later the price will plateau at a level which will make crude extraction from shale oil a viable alternative, at which point we'll see the price per barrel stabilize for another 20 years or so.

Price is directly related to the market value and the cost to produce. This crap you're spewing about the war being a factor is disingenuous, partisan bullshit.

I have not used this icon before, but you're earning it.

The parents of victim Daniel Cicciaro Jr., 17, were irate after learning that John White did not receive the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

White, 54, was convicted in December of second-degree manslaughter and a weapons charge.

"Nice message it sends to society that as long as you're black and there's a problem at the end of your driveway you can grab an illegal handgun and shoot someone in the face and get away with it," an infuriated Daniel Cicciaro Sr. told reporters while dozens of supporters sobbed nearby.
