If you neg-rep somebody, their "Reputation points" go down but their "Rep Power" goes UP.

It only goes down if you check 'I disapprove". Other wise it's automatically set to 'i disaprove' and their rep goes up.

I think you meant to say it's automatically set to I approve.

But your vote doesn't count if you live in Michigan or Florida.....unless Mr P says it is alright....and then only if he pays a grievance tax for it.....
