He betrayed his wife.

(Cindy) Hensley met John McCain in 1979 at a military reception in Hawaii ...McCain and Hensley quickly began a relationship...he divorced Carol (his wife) in April 1980, and he and Cindy were married on May 17, 1980 in Phoenix.

Is McCain betraying his second wife?

Can you tell the difference between these two ladies? Can John McCain? See, one is John McCain's patriotic wife, and one is some telecom lobbyist who liked to show up at his events and tell her bosses that John McCain was doing her all sorts of favors.

This isn't about adultery. It's about hypocrisy.

How can Republicans accept McCain's adultery and still claim to be a party of the righteous?

because he's never been convicted of perjury.......

What's your point?

No high level Democrat has ever been convicted of perjury, either.

Because most of the "conservative republicans" are no longer conservatives or republicans. they use the titles becuase they'll get people to press their button on election day. The true conservative republican have been leaving the party as the new breed of "republicans" have gone farther and farther from the conservative ideals they are supposed to be founded upon.

And don't forget.........only Republicans can be hyprocites when it come to adultery...because the Democrats openly supports it and display it all the time...

I guess that's what they mean??:laugh2::poke:

I can't imagine a greater hypocrisy than a Democrat complaining about adultery.....

and Clinton was disbarred by both the Arkansas Bar Association and the Supreme Court for committing perjury and obstruction of justice.....he didn't contest either charge.....

Maybe Joe can help us all by pointing out conservatives who are proud of McCain.... Is there a reason we should be proud of a liberal republican?

I think most conservatives either tolerate McCain as the lesser of the 3 evils currently running for POTUS; or as has been evidenced on this very site, they flat-out condemn him as a liberal in conservative clothing - a RINO.

Personally, he's the lesser of the 3 evils still in contention for POTUS.

McCain and his first wife were already having problems and separated I believe.

Are you suggesting that conservatives aren't allowed to get a divorce? :laugh2:

Yes.

Divorce is an abomination. Why do Republicans tolerate it in their champions?

Actually it was an agreement/settlement with clinton so that he WOULD NOT BE PURSUED on perjury charges by the Whitewater special prosecutors...for lying about monica lewinsky.

of course he did not contest it, it was what he wanted.

btw, Clinton was NEVER charged or convicted of committing perjury, in a court of Law....he avoided this by the settlement.

Yes, just the details behind the truth.... he was not convicted of committing perjury....this is NOT why he lost his licence in Arkansas, because of a conviction.... he lost it in a settlement that prevented him from ever being tried, or convicted of perjury.

you're correct--he only faced a false testimony charge. Convicted in the house--aquitted in the senate. But was he a serial adulterer? Most definately.

lol...okay, conceded....it was never proven in a court of law that he had lied under oath, because he admitted he had lied under oath in order to prevent being convicted.......somehow that makes him less of a perjurer?......

Don't these leftist whiners ever try any new tactics? The "tell a lie about your opponent and then ask why it's true" routine is pretty worn out by now.

Have they nothing else?

It's worse than true. His adultery is only a small part of his lack of character.

John McCain:

Unfit to serve as Commander-In-Chief

The spoiled son of military privilege got a free ride throughout his military career despite repeated instances of sex scandals and screw-ups

Where would they have found a jury who did not see him commit the crime on TV with their own eyes? Everyone in the world already knew he was guilty. If the case had been allowed to go to trial, he certainly would have been convicted. Your nitpicking argument is just silly (being charitable in my use of language).
