shearson and ubs increase capital to avoid a bear stearns

and gold down $33 and was over a $1,000....means dollar is strengthening

anyone see this as good news?

Well, sure, if the dollar CONTINUES to strengthen.

If tomorrow is another bad day, not so good.

It's a decent day at the markets. I wouldn't be too quick to call it "good news."
