Going to see Eisley for the second time next weekend in Atlanta. As you may recall, I was trying to decide between them and Kate Nash. Well, I'm going with my friend Jenni, and she hates Kate Nash and hates Eisley slightly less, so Eisley it is!

Three opening bands (!): The Myriad, Vedera, and The Envy Corps. Judging from their Myspaces, it'll be a laid-back emo kinda night, but that's fine. I may or may not bring my camera, but if I do, I'll have lots of pics of anarchy in the ATL for ya's.

Indeed! Concert season is upon us. So far, I'm planning on going to see R.E.M. (with Modest Mouse and The National opening!) in Atlanta and definitely the Echo Project in October, and possibly the All Points West festival in NJ in August.

Unfortunately, none of my favorite bands are touring this summer!

I haven't been to a concert for a few years.

I'm pretty sure it's the only thing that's kept me sane for the past 2 years or so.:laugh2:

Yeah... I wanted to go see the Kenny Chesney tour last summer, but it didn't work out. I think the Newsboys in 2002 was the last big show I saw.

Awesome show, very low turnout. The venue held 800 and about 300 showed up. I didn't mind, though, it was a more intimate show, which is always nice. All the bands were good, Eisley being the best, of course. The first opener, The Envy Corps were great, and there were only like 50 people there to see them! But, I like it that way, all the bands were just hanging out in the crowd while the other bands played, it was a very cool scene.

Few pics...

This was pretty much the entire crowd.

Stacy again just because she's hot and I like this pic.

Closest thing my friend got to a full band pic. Missing is their lead guitar player, off to the far left.

Pretty view of Atlanta from outside the venue.

Wow, guess I should've asked for some Youtube videos, apparently that's the only way to get a response in the Music forum these days.

It's the most important part of the band... the bass player!!!

Glad you enjoyed it. I always like to hear the "warm-up" bands, because they're usually pretty good, and the crowds are small enough that you can enjoy it.

Yeah, they're music is keyboard and guitar-driven, but like most bass players, I'm sure you'd find it bass-driven! :D

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the opening acts were pretty great, and The Envy Corps and Vedera were very down to earth (the few members I met, I mean).

Haha, fair enough! I'd argue with your definition of it as emo, though. But, I don't think you care one way or the other, so I'll spare you!

Ah, I should go back and edit that. The stuff I thought was emo on Myspace didn't seem emo live.
