As if beleagured conservatives didan't already have enough problems, what with a wrinkled-ass old candidate who promises to carry on the Bush foreign policy legacy (What the hell is he thinking there?), now you've got Bob Barr jumping into the race.

http://www.bobbarr2008.com/

Ol' Bob will siphon off conservatives who are unhappy because John McCain isn't conservative enough for them.

What else could possibly happen to our poor, underdog right wingers?

All they need now is for some political neophyte like Condoleezza Rice to get added to the McCain ticket. That would really.......

Wait a minute.......

Glockie: Ralpk Nader is a joke, but Bob Barr merits serious consideration from disaffected conservatives.

Nader got 2.7% of the vote on 2000, which is about what's predicted for Barr if he runs. We appear to be in agreement with this though: Liberals are a joke, and Conservatives merit serious consideration.

Actually, Bob Barr is running as a Libertarian (or considering it), not as a neoconservative. He stands for:

- non-intervention in foreign affairs
- closed borders
- maximum individual liberty, especially our rights under the 4th Amendment
- reducing the size of government (not just slowing the rate of growth)

Well, Jeff, every one of those things you mentioned is somethin' I can get behind.

So should I switch my allegiance from Obama to Bob Barr?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......no. But I do like Barr.

You been playin' any bass, son?

Yea right, you don't have problems with black people..... sure.:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2: pathetic....

He agrees with Libertarian ideals yet is voting for socialist ones. Your conclusion that this is due to "white guilt" is likely. Either that or he is a complete idiot, which is also likely.

Let me add to the mystified chorus:

How can you believe in those things, and vote for Obama?

Abbey: Most liberals aren't 100%. They hold conservative views on any number of issues.

I'm not 100% liberal. Most of the reason I'm a Democrat these days is George Bush and his insane Iraq war.

I actually favored Bush over Al Gore in the '00 election. Up until 2002, I voted Republican in every election since 1980.

But I think Barack Obama would make an excellent president who would start to repair the damage from the Bush years.

Does that clarify it any?

I still say you wanna go for Wayne Allen Root. Same platform, but he's a much better on air personality, he knows how to sell himself, and he's comfortable in front of the mic.

So Obama is going to fix illegal immigration? Cause I cant think of any other damage that the President has caused.

That would be me.

So far, that's my plan. If Hillary is knocked out, vote for Barr.

Bob Barr appeals greatly. I appreciate his capacity to admit mistakes and learn from them. That alone enthralls him to me over McCain & Obama.

That's too bad. So the 5-string is just sitting in the case?

What school are you going to? Degree program?
