Michelle Obama believes she is her husband's best advocate, but some of Sen. Barack Obama's inner circle believe that should he win the Democrat nomination, they will have "repackage and redirect" Mrs. Obama for the general election, according to one Obama donor, who has voiced her concerns about the missus.

"You look at what she says about America and some of the policies she thinks Obama would put in place and you just cringe," says the donor and fundraiser. "Much of what she says wouldn't fly in most of the country, and even sound like some of the things Hillary was saying 16 years ago or on the campaign trail today."

The latest example was Mrs. Obama's appearance in Harrisburg, Pa., where she told a group of mothers: "If we don't wake up as a nation with a new kind of leadership, for how we want this country to work, then we won't get universal health care. The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."

I did not say they would succeed, only that they will try

It is something to see liberals trying to hide the fact from the voters that they are liberals

Well Pale, you seem to be bitter. You are probably holding on to your gun, while on your way to Church, looking out for people who may be immigrants, and upset government has forgot about you

Red, I don't know about Pale, but I am here clutching my Bible and my guns, all while drinking some Bud Light and making Sloppy Joes in my double-wide.
We bitter Con-ser-va-tive middle class white girls have lots of time since we haven't had a job in 25 years. Oh, don't get me wrong now, I would have worked. Had I not developed severe carpal tunnel from all that bitter clutching.

Luckily, a Dukes of Hazard rerun is about to start so I can forget my bitterness for a spell.

I'm amazed they are still letting her speak to groups! I figured they'd pull her off the speaking circuit after the New Yorker article about her (NOT flattering, even though the New Yorker is normally leftist).

Looks like it's a race to see who can destroy Obalamabama's campaign first, her or him.

You can't silence an arrogant liberal from speaking out. Barry is shooting off his mouth more and more - and I love it

Let them talk

Hillary as well for that matter

Abbey... almost shot Pepsi out my nose, AGAIN, reading your humor. Yeah it's funny... up until the realization that that is what hussein thinks sets in.

You get rep too.

Don't all liberals try to "repackage" themselves when running for office? Liberals are never willing to say what they actually believe, because they would never get elected.

Of course they do

That is why they want to be called "progressives" and not liberals

That is why they call tax increases "investments"
