Where my sister and her husband live in East Los Angeles, one of the easiest ways to make a living is running a mobile food stand. More commonly known as "taco trucks."
The taco trucks rarely pay for fees or permits. That gives them unfair advantages over established restaurants. Running a taco truck without permits is illegal, but has only been a misdemeanor.
One of my brother-in-law's best friends own a restaurant in East Los Angeles. He and my sister have been working for years to get the county to put teeth in the law to shut down taco trucks. They finally got some results yesterday:

Why should you care? A large percentage of taco truck owners are illegal aliens.

The last time I ate at a food truck was in law school, when I had no time to go anywhere else. I'm not a fan of mystery meat or rainbow dogs, no matter who is serving it.
