Well, if you're desperate like me, there's plenty of reading to do about the scouting combine. Besides, are you really that anxious about seeing the Steelers come back to glory this year? :coffee:

I've been doing some. There's only so much draft-day guessing I can take, though.

The only glory Pittsburgh's gonna see in 2007 will be on ESPN Classic.

Okay, I'm gonna open myself up to criticism here by saying the women's NCAA basketball is the best sport going right now.

First of all, you got cute babes running around in shorts, so that's a plus right there.

Then you've got their basketball skills, which are not far below the men's.

Finally, women's hoops is more competitive because the good players stay in school for 4 years and develop their skills to the fullest.

Okay, I'm done. Now all you troglodytes who think sports ended with the Steelers' season can open fire......

Did "solid" acquire a new definition recently?

Solid in comparison to Domanick "No Cartilage in My Knee" Davis/Williams. Ron Dayne was our RB in the last half of the season, and we did OK with him. Hopefully, Green on 1st/2nd down, Dayne on 3rd down works out well for us.

Still, there was a glaring lack of a running game in Houston last season. Now, we at least have a proven running back. Even if he's a year or two off his prime, he's a major improvement, and we have three backs (Dayne, Wali Lundy, Chris Taylor) under him that he can help to guide/develop.
