MADISON, Wis. - The U.S. military's health insurance program has been swindled out of more than $100 million over the past decade in the Philippines, where doctors, hospitals and clinics have conspired with American veterans to submit bogus claims, according to prosecutors and court records.

Seventeen people have been convicted so far — including at least a dozen U.S. military retirees — in a little-noticed investigation that has been handled by federal prosecutors out of Wisconsin because a Madison company holds the contract to process many of the claims. It has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Personaly they can do away with the whole VA system. I think they should administer a private insurance policy for ALL veterans instead.

As for your comments EVERY job at some time or another will result in "missing" meals or even not recieving pay due to circumstances. You have obviously NEVER worked in any type of health care facility. I routinely go without any breaks or lunch. In fact my meals most day consist of a cup of coffee in the morning on my commute than a diet soft drink on my way home. So the pissing and moaning of not getting something EVERY meal, shit happens and sometimes we have to do what we have to do!!!

Why don't you find another catagory besides the military ones.....
