In another case of politicians not having a clue what's really going on in this country, an interesting exchange took place in Washington this week. Three Democrat legislators spoke to reporters about what they claim is "anti-immigrant coverage" by conservative media outlets. Apparently, they think floods of illegal aliens crossing into America and the crime and violence at the border are just overblown incidents developed by conservatives to attack our neighbor to the South.

After they spoke, the Democrats were asked if they realized that the State Department had issued a "travel alert warning Americans about military-like 'combat' along the southern U.S. border in Mexico, where Americans are being kidnapped and murdered." None of the legislators knew about it.

As reported by Cybercast News Service, when asked about the alert, Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) said, "I haven't heard about the report specifically."

Reps. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and Hilda Solis (D-CA) also spoke to Cybercast News Service and said "they had no knowledge of the travel alert but were aware of the volatility along the U.S. southern border."

If things keep heating up down there we just might see another incursion similar to 1916. And I would bet it would not be unwelcome by the general Mexican population.

Good find---I expect warnings to go out soon to those traveling in south Texas. ( Not that Congress would ever know about it ) :laugh2:

Meanwhile Hillary and Obama are planing to put the "Welcome mat" out at the border and give illegals everything from drivers licenses to free government provided healthcare

McCain is planing on a "guest worker plan" which is equal to amnesty for breaking our laws (Hillary and Obama are also for amnesty)

No mater who wins in Novemebr, Pedro and his friends will do very well at US taxpayer expense

At least McCain is not offering all the expensive goodies the Democrats are. Dems see them as an untapped voting block. I will not be shocked if Dems say the next "right" illegals should have is voting rights

The border situation is getting worse weekly down here. Phoenix has had 300+ kidnapping this year and it's all illegal alien related. Some of them have turned violent, with bodies being dumped all over the Phoenix metro area. Going to be a real problem if someone doesn't do something smart about it soon.
