Which do you think will happen first, given the way that the local politicians here love to politicize ANY kind of disaster, small or large.

I live 3 miles from where the tornado in Coon Rapids hit. We had friends over (all live near the area, but none have basements), and we were grilling out and playing yard games. The sirens went off, and the clouds were nasty. My neighborhood pretty much just had small trees and branches down. We got marble-size hail, but no actual damage. Sun came out shortly after, and all the kids are out playing in the puddles.

3 Miles to the east of me, houses and full, mature trees are destroyed.

30 Miles to the east, in Hugo, many upscale homes are levelled.

Everyone ok, one small child died in Hugo, but other than that, with probably about 30minutes warning, depending on if you were watching the weather to about 5 minutes warning if you weren't when the sirens went off, I think everyone faired well considering how fast it moved on us.

So, knowing all that, how what do you think will happen next?
-Dems blame Bush somehow
-Enviro-Nazis blame Global Warming, as if tornadoes are somehow a new phenomena within the last 50 years.
-Liberals and RINO's will compare relief efforts to those of Katrina, because Hugo is a more upscale, higher income area.
-Or you can pick all three and bet on the timeframe from now until you first hear about at least one of them.

as an aside, Parkersburg, Iowa was hit hard yesterday.....200 of the town's 400 homes demolished along with every store and public building in town.....seven dead and eighty hospitalized.....my wife's mother went to school there, her aunt and uncle live four miles from town....she knew two of the dead......

Well, the exact same questions could apply, then. I had no idea about the one in Iowa until this morning.
