The answer is less consumption, not more production.
There is enough gas. We need to make it go further.

Hey... don't give it another thought. It was on and off for quite awhile. No big deal. We're still friends, we've just grown in different directions.

Only a lemming like Pale would sign on to a group whose position is not clear. Hopefully he signed up to go to Iraq.

I already spent eight years in the military and have a Purple Heart. How about you?

But true to form as a liberal, you don't have anything worth saying so you insult people.

Shut the fuck up shit for brains.

36 years ago this nation was shown the path to energy independence, we let the big three run the energy policy. Guess why no new sources of energy were researched? Hell we didn't even make cars more fuel efficient!

And we are, there was a lorry strike in London the other day, were the A4 (the main route into London) was blocked, and there have been several more protests planed involving blocking routes if the gov don't suspend raises in fuel duty. (which now looks quite likely)

We are having to resort to blocking roads however as it is now illegal to hold a mass demonstration in central London, cus apparently that's an act of terrorism =/

And how the hell do you propose "less consumption" on a national level? People have to go from point A to B for a reason, like work or school. Our nation is growing in population so our consumption is only going to go up. Your solution is stay home every day, dont go to work?

I don't care what the petition says, if palerider says we should all sign it, that is reason enough for me to avoid it!

You forgot to add that people should not eat...Our most heavily populated areas are nowhere near any kind of farming communities so they have truckloads of food delievered to their grocery stores.

Then you forgot to add WHY Americas population is sky high...Think of all the millions of illegals.

Fuel economy (http://books.google.com/books?id=bxgqwZMuQCEC&pg=PA105&lpg=PA105&dq=Average+fuel+economy+in+1972&source=web&ots=UQVeCtZkVr&sig=BCXbBXB2AKjMjOx9BRWxd3t1NzY&hl=en#PPA105,M1) average for cars back then was 14 MPG. Nowadays (http://books.google.com/books?id=bxgqwZMuQCEC&pg=PA105&lpg=PA105&dq=Average+fuel+economy+in+1972&source=web&ots=UQVeCtZkVr&sig=BCXbBXB2AKjMjOx9BRWxd3t1NzY&hl=en#PPA105,M1) it is 20.2.

I don't know what a "lorry" is but I'll guess it's a trucker. I can't hardly feel sorry for you people in europe. You've been going towards full socialism and liberalism for years, and have critized us Americans for being capitalists and conservatives. If you want things to change over there, you've got a lot of rolling back the clock to do.

Is your misunderstanding a fault of your own or the fault of the civilizations that you don't understand, pr?

Wow, the board liberals sure got quiet in a hurry when they were reminded of these things. Haven't heard a peep from them since.

And it makes me wonder if any of them signed this petition. If they didn't, then I'd sure like to know why.

This petition had 50K some signatures when I heard of it, and it just a couple days, it's already over 175K. That's what I call an explosion of support.

Here is a good link to sign up for http://www.townhall.com/secure/signup.aspx I get their daily newsletters and they sent the petition to me this morning automatically. The drill here, drill now lower gas prices will destroy the Dems when they try to defend their trial lawyers and environmental lobbyists.

It certainly will. Because the PAIN people are feeling at the pump crosses party lines, not to mention the fact that the dems promised to LOWER the price of a gallon of gas.

We need to drill. There is no question about it. We need to diversify. There is no question about it. It's the dems fault for being so beholding to the enviro-whackos for us being forty years behind where we should be now.

Sign the Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less petition here... (http://www.americansolutions.com/actioncenter/petitions/?Guid=54ec6e43-75a8-445b-aa7b-346a1e096659)
