so I think most of you know that I am currently working at the hospital on third shift and I have to say that third shift sucks ass, so yes I have been looking to see if I can locate another job that is first shift.
I don't usually get on career builder, I have found that whenever i send in a resume to a job on there i never get a call from any of them but today for some reason i decided to look around on there and see what I could find i was actually looking for some place that i could do some type of volunteer counseling that would coincide with my degree I am working on.
While i am typing up different key words looking for something related to my degree and not finding anything at all I decided to type in domestic violence just to see if i pulled anything up.
I actually pulled up the YWCA they are hiring for shelter advocates, family support specialist, and residential aides. Talk about shocked I had no idea I would come across these positions this is my passion and one of the things i want to pursue.
Funny thing is they were not looking for a degree but someone with experience or interest providing supportive services to survivors of domestic violence. hmmm well considering i have 18 years of being in 2 different relationships of domestic violence and have studied this particuler area in great depth I should be a shoo in.
Keep your fingers crossed I sent them a cover letter and resume today.
