I want judges who read the laws using only the words written on the page and make their decision based upon their interpretation of the laws as written rather than judges who read the laws using the words written on the page in combination with what they believe the law should say and do.

I think you know what my answer is, even though I may not vote for him.

I agree that the SCOTUS is the single most important issue in this election. I don't trust either man. I know for certain that Obama will destroy the court for years to come if he is given the chance. On the other hand McCompromiser might try to reach across the aisle again. I was absolutely dead set against voting for Mc but I'm reconsidering and it makes me ill.

All I want is judges that will interpret the law as it is written. That will study and find out exactly what the intent of the Founding Fathers was and follow it.

This insanity about The Constitution being a living document only implies that the writers had no idea what they were doing. That they had no vision of the future and were clueless how to govern.

It's not just Supreme Court Judges, it's Federal judges also, a bunch of them.

And in which election is this not an issue?

And in which election is this not an issue?

It's always an issue, but as we slide down this slippery slope from abortion to partial birth abortion to infanticide, the stakes are higher than ever.

And I believe that the way we treat the most helpless in our society, eventually impacts how we act in many other ways as well.

Not to mention that for the first time in over a generation and a half, conservative majority is within striking distance...

And I believe that the way they treat the most helpless in our society, eventually impacts how we act in many other ways as wellThe way conservatives treat the most helpless in society is a bell weather of how they treat anyone who is not fortunate enough to cheat and lie for profit.

I'm still uncertain what you are implying. Do you have some specifics, like a link to some policy or what have you?

I make a profit every work day, do I cheat and lie to make that profit?

I am not in favorite of having a ultra conservative majority on the SCOTUS. Personal rights and freedoms will be set back for decades.

I think Obama will be the right choice to move the country forward. He will also be more able to work with the House and Senate, both of which will be controlled by Democrats.

Scalia, Alito, and Thomas are ideologies, Roberts may be too, wacky know it all mostly upper crust elitist Catholics. So Lord help us if we get another ideologue. With a McSame election, you woman better run and hide or take off the shoes and get plenty of calcium.

That's okay, we hate you too. Difference is, we'll come out and tell you to your face instead of beating around the bush about it.

And the Supreme Court was so well run with Ginsberg quoting international law to justify something the lefties wanted.

I'm going with the guy who's not a socialist.

couple of things:

a person can not be an "ideologies".....

food stamps did not exist when he claimed his mother was on them.....he was rasied by his grandparents and his mother was never single for long......

Do you believe a person is able to make a profit without lying or cheating?Yes I do. My business makes money and I don't need to cheat or lie to do it. It is a lot tougher doing honest business but I prefer to be that way.

a few months ago i might have agreed that judges were the most important issue. However with recent developments id say the energy crisis.
