Damn good question? Based on their actions, the dolphins have the Dems beat by a wide margin

Are Democrats Dumber than Dolphins?
By Kevin McCullough

snip

In an all out assault against the working poor, the struggling families, and the common decency of the citizens of America this week Nancy Pelosi gave the order for Democrats to stab the American voter in the back. Her orders were carried out. Thus Congressional Democrats proved a naked willingness to injure America in a play for power, or alternately proving unsurpassed stupidity.

In either case they were also shown up by a cute squiggly girl named Kelly - a dolphin.

snip

That's why it's so astounding that on a party-line vote of 9-6 a subcommittee voted against even letting a bill go to the full floor of the House that would have allowed us to go access energy sources that are 200 miles of our shores but that could supply us close to 90 billion barrels of oil, and over 432 trillion cubic feet of natural gas - that we already own. That amount of oil would equal the total amount of oil we have produced as a nation as a whole since 1970.

I know i sometimes poke a little fun at Dems but saying that they are dumber than Dolphins is taking too far. They swim batter than dems, but that is all. I know a dem who can balance a ball on his nose and responds to voice commands. I realize he is quite out of the ordinary but I would have to believe that he learned these things there is a chance that others could do it too.

This is a very hard question to answer as maybe democrats are dumber than dolphins comparatively speaking, but where would that leave the republicans? Dumber than dirt? Consider the dolphin lives life freely and has avoided land, capitalism, and republicanism, so yes, definitely smart species. But then consider republicans have had power in congress and the presidency for much of the last 40 years and everywhere you look -> mess. Yep, dumber than dirt for sure.

http://www.counterpunch.org/colson06182008.html

"Food inflation is at its worst in more than 17 years today, with prices having risen nearly 5 percent in the past year. The price of staple products is climbing event faster--milk and dried beans are up more than 17 percent; cheese is up 15 percent; rice and pasta 13 percent, and bread 12 percent.

With the official unemployment rate jumping by a half percentage point in May--the biggest one-month increase in 22 years--gas prices climbing to more than $4 a gallon nationally, and a growing number of families hit by skyrocketing mortgages, things are looking exceptionally bleak for many working and poor families across the U.S.

In a new USA Today poll, 54 percent of those surveyed say their standard of living is no better today than five years ago. "Fewer Americans now than at any time in the last half century believe they're moving forward in life," concluded a recent report by the Washington, D.C.-based Pew Research Center."

Not only are the dims doing nothing about drilling for oil they want to nationalize the oil companies. They don't want drilling, they want more taxes on gas and oil and they want to run the oil companies from washington.

High taxes

Government health care

Government run oil companies.

Government controlled media

Anyone else see the socialist agenda they are pushing?

Because they have just been found and haven't started drilling yet. The article says they won't start getting anything out till 2020. So there is no effect on the market right now. "WE" are not a global market "we" are part of the global market. And it will be Brazil's oil not ours.

will any of this reduce the price of oil or gas, if so....how?

the big oil that is supposedly in the gulf will take drilling down 28,000 feet in depth is what i read....

this is EXTREMELY costly.....the oil won't be cheap if done....just want to make that clear....

and gaffer, they say it is the purchasing of Futures that is also raising the present prices, so the brazil finds should have reduced the Futures price.....BUT IT DIDN'T????

this whole thing is just crazy!!!!

Well, if opening new drilling points will effect the futures then our releasing all those sites should go a long way in bringing down the prices. But I don't think the futures market goes that far into the future. We can reduce the price by rolling back taxes and by putting restrictions on futures buying, not nationalizing the oil industry. We can invest in other energy forms without stopping the search for more oil. Restricting the oil development will only hurt our economy more. Gas is outrageous now and other prices are going to sky rocket as well. We need to take care of the immediate problem and at the same time work on the long term.

We also need to stop the devaluing of the dollar. That's another part of the problem. I lay the blame for most of the problems on congress and the socialists that call themselves democrats. We are moving into dangerous times now. There's going to be a real effort in our government for a take over this country. The snakes are starting to show their true colors.

When oil companies control America's ability to be mobile, perhaps more intervention/regulation by the people (i.e. the government) is not a bad idea. Plus, why are you so willing to put oil rigs all around our country's pristine coasts? Why spoil our environment for a few barrels of oil? None of our deposits are even big enough to last us more than a couple of years. The solution to energy independence is alternate energy sources, not raping the environment. Get a clue man.

Yep, libs want to leave hundreds of billions of barrels of oil in the ground, and continue to get oil from the ME

Polls are changing and moonbats like you will be on the losing end. MAybe you smile as gas prices rise (thinking it means more power for the Dems) but most folks say lets get our own oil out of the ground

The more we revolutionize, the more we suffer. Want proof? OK, It is simple really. Lets take the Amish. Need I say more.

The Amish have no interest what so ever in the oil market. Fact is, they didn't prescribe to technology or material. They keep their lives simple. They have absolutely NO DIVORCE, they burn no gas in NO CARS, and are seemingly VERY HAPPY people. Hmmmmmm!!!!!!

Would it be safe to say that we went wrong somewhere?

Lets examine a few more facts about the Amish. They have lost NOONE in war. They don't fight, not even one another.

They have no crime, only what is commited against them.

They are self suffiecient. They import NOTHING! Everybody buys THEIR products. Sounds to me like we should IMMEDIATELY place a quaker in charge of Commerce huh?

Amish folks are not members of the New World Order, they don't care. It does not affect them. Hmmmm!!!! United Nations? They couldn't tell you what it does. Hmmm!!!!

I think we made a wrong turn somewhere. Have to admire those folks.
