I don't know why Obama is laying people off ---------

But the newspaper layoffs are because of a massive die-off of newspapers around the country, done in by the Internet. Where do you get YOUR news?

You hit the Websites of your favorite news spots, same as everyone, right?

Change happens.

Q.E.D.

You aren't reading a daily paper..................

I actually do; I read the Wall Street Journal daily. But they've shrunk their paper and changed a number of things in a desperate attempt to keep readers and advertisers, and they're conservative!

I read a neat thought recently: that the reason the N.Y. Times and other leftist papers think the economy is so bad, so awful, is that it IS for them: they are going out of business!! But most people aren't going out of business, so they are biased.

Good point.

Here is an example of the bias toward Obama

CNN: Computer Illiterate McCain Too Stupid to be President
By Noel Sheppard | June 26, 2008 - 10:27 ET

Since Eisenhower first ran for president in 1952, it has been a common strategy for Democrats and media members -- as if there's much of a difference these days! -- to depict Republican presidential candidates as too stupid to hold the office.

On Thursday, CNN's Jeanne Moos made the case that because John McCain is not computer savvy, he's not qualified to be president. She even disgracefully quipped -- as a video of a stripper appeared on the screen! -- "At least John McCain knows the difference between a laptop and a lap dance."

Not surprisingly, she also took the time to demonstrate just how much of a techie Barack Obama is while adding a dash of Bush-bash. Pretty good for a two and a half minute segment, dontcha think?

Cooper's CNN Producer Warns of Racial 'Knife' Fight on Obama
By Tim Graham | June 25, 2008 - 14:31 ET

On CNN's AC-360 blog, Anderson Cooper's senior producer Barclay Palmer conflated Karl Rove's critique of Barack Obama and Don Imus's latest racial radio flap into a racial knife fight: "anyone who thinks that Obama’s presumptive victory in the Democratic primary means we’re in a post-racial America might want to think again. Race will play the falling knife in this… race. And you can bet your country club membership, we’re just getting started."

How Rove suggesting that Obama is an arrogant country-club elitist puts you in "nappy-headed ho" territory is a mystery outside the liberal media tent. Not only that, but Rove is apparently packing a blade and waving it at Obama's throat. The liberal media apparently plan to spend the next few months breathlessly waiting for every Republican criticism of Obama that can be construed (or misconstrued) as an attack on Obama's blackness. Here's the whole blog post:

Fox News is fair and balanced. There huge (and increasing) ratings show where folks decide to get thier news

There success really pisses off the left that no longer have a monoploy on the media
