I really have to thank the Marines at Pendleton. My daughter is 13 and they really treated her quite well today. My daughters teacher has a son that's a Marine so she went with her and my wife down there.

She took about 600 pictures and has been talking non-stop since she got home. Marines were posing for her everywhere she went it sounds like.

She saw tanks (US & Soviet), helicopters, LAV's and so on. She went to the museums and shopped and ate on base. I haven't seen her that excited since we went to Disneyland last year. She loved the Museums and all the armament. She was quite impressed with all the guns. That's my girl!

I was just really surprised at how almost every Marine she walked by or that drove by acknowledged her. When she was taking pictures they almost all waved, smiled, put on helmets or something for her to take pictures. No matter how busy they were they made time for my daughter.

More than just the defenders of our freedom they were gentlemen and I am grateful.
