Makes a lot of sense. I see the blades for these massive wind generators rolling up I-45 heading north, they are huge.

I'd love to see more windmills. It certainly won't solve our oil addiction problem, but every step towards alternative energy is a good one, IMO.

I have no problem producing various sources of energy. I just dislike the insinuation that drilling will not help.

Hey nam, You didn't hear, the Dems looked at the polls and now they are all aboard for drilling, saw the fags this morning acting like they own the idea...... not like they have been preventing exploration for decades.

I believe that Delaware just became the first state to approve off-shore wind energy. Massachusetts tried, but Teddy K. didn't want his view spoiled.

Thanks scotty. I see by going to that board that you have yet to post on it. That doesn't give me the impression that you are very passionate about it. In any event, if you'd like to add a forum link, please contact the board owner.

Well, I love it. I see those giant windmills whenever we go through a farm of them in Western Pennsylvania. Wow, neat.

T. Boone Pickens is a can-do American!! I guess that's because he's so old. Everybody else younger hangs around whining we can't do nuffink, we'll have to give our money to the A-rabs forever.

I'll support Pickens' windmills! Has a certain Don Quixote feel, too.

Remember coal only came in a couple centuries ago. And oil only started during WWI, which was well into the last century!

Time for another energy fuel shift, kiddoes. Those Arabs and Russkies and Venezuelan thugs don't deserve to get all our money.

Greenies were behind the ethanol requirements, darn it --- we did it for them.

You don't understand their true motivation- Greenies hate this.

The whole reason why Pickens is doing this huge media blitz is to get public opinion going his way before the Greenies gain any traction.

I don't trust Pickens. I've been hearing his commercials non-stop on the radio, and most of what he's proposing sounds like more big government band-aids along with more pandering and condescension. He might have had me fooled if he didn't end all of his commercials with the tired old way that this is a 'crisis we can't drill our way out of.' No, I don't think drilling is a permanent solution. Few things are, but it's a temporary solution that will stem the tide long enough for a more permanent solution to be developed. If all we do is wait around for a permanent solution, we'll collapse before you know it. It's like refusing first aid to a gunshot victim because only surgery can make him completely better.

We can it all at the same time. Drill. build more refineries, nuclear plans, and coal plants

We can explore the libs ideas of wind and solar.

Can you guess how many jobs that will be created by doing it all, and what the results would be?

Thank you Abbey. I do know some liberals who consider our Founding Fathers as a bunch of gun toting Bible thumpers, and I thought of them when I ran across the picture
