In fact he is part of big oil. I was doing some surfing regarding offshore leases, who really owns them and oil drilling rigs and came upon some interesting stuff. One being the shortage of drilling ships. Transocean is one of the biggest oil drilling shipbuilders and guess who just bought a big chunk of them ? Yup--old George. Problem is if the price of oil drops so does his stock.
