The Illinois senator introduced a bill to force the redeployment under law, but that's unlikely while Bush is president. Still, Obama said he's taking Bush up on his challenge to critics to offer alternatives.

i find it intriguing that obama ran on this big anti-war platform, used his iraq withdrawal deadline to seperate himself from the other dems...it worked...and now alters one of his most foundational platforms...even after introducing legislation to force withdrawal by law before the end of march 2008...and yet his supporters still fawn over him as if he can do no wrong and insult others when his weaknesses are pointed out.
