NEW BOOK: THE OBAMA NATION LEFTIST POLITICS AND THE CULT OF PERSONALITY
BY JEROME R. CORSI, PH.D.

In this thoroughly researched and documented book, THE OBAMA NATION: LEFTIST POLITICS AND THE CULT OF PERSONALITY (Threshold Editions; August 1st, 2008; $28.00), the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry, Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D., explains why the extreme leftism of an Obama presidency would leave the United States weakened, diminished, and divided, and why Obama must be defeated—and how he can be…

Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois state senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention.Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than six hundred footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fund-raising associates, and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency, would, in his words, be "a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.

" In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about:

Obama's extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father's and stepfather's Islamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn—associations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press Barack and wife Michelle's twenty-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Frantz Fanon, Stokely Carmichael, and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama

Obama's continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings

Obama's involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obama's initial campaigns and to purchase Barack and Michelle's dream-home property

The background and techniques of the Obama campaign's cult of personality, including the derivation of the words "hope" and "change"

Obama's far-left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program

Obama's naïve, antiwar, antinuclear foreign policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons, and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament, and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences for us, for the Iraqis, or for Israel

Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeated—not by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well researched and fact-based.

Book on Obama Hopes to Repeat Anti-Kerry Feat

By JIM RUTENBERG and JULIE BOSMAN
Published: August 12, 2008
In the summer of 2004 the conservative gadfly Jerome R. Corsi shot to the top of the best-seller lists as co-author of “Unfit for Command,” the book attacking Senator John Kerry’s record on a Vietnam War Swift boat that began the larger damaging campaign against Mr. Kerry’s war credentials as he sought the presidency

Almost exactly four years after that campaign began, Mr. Corsi has released a new attack book painting Senator Barack Obama, the Democrats’ presumed presidential nominee, as a stealth radical liberal who has tried to cover up “extensive connections to Islam” — Mr. Obama is Christian — and questioning whether his admitted experimentation with drugs in high school and college ever ceased.

Significant parts of the book, whose subtitle is “Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality,” have already been challenged as misleading or false in the days since its debut on Aug. 1. Nonetheless, it is to make its first appearance on The New York Times best-seller list for nonfiction hardcovers this Sunday — at No. 1.

The book is being pushed along by a large volume of bulk sales, intense voter interest in Mr. Obama and a broad marketing campaign that has already included 100 author interviews with talk radio hosts across the country, like Sean Hannity and G. Gordon Liddy, Mr. Corsi said on Tuesday.

Of course it has. Anything pointing out the corruption of liberal politicians is immediately "challenged" as being false, even if there is proof its 100% true.

The libs are terrified right now. CNN has already jumped all over this book and is pointing out some apparent errors in it, but the quotes they pulled were out of context and they didn't really disprove any of it. It was hilarious to see them "debunk" what the author was saying by quoting Obama saying it just isn't true, LOL. I guess in CNN's eyes Obama would never LIE like the shitbag politician he is. They also went on to say that the only people buying this book are the 12% that believe he is a muslim, and racists.

CNN Concerned Anti-Obama Book 'Might Catch on With Some Voters'
By Mark Finkelstein (Bio | Archive)
August 13, 2008 - 22:09 ET

Never Again! Not the Holocaust. We're talking about the MSM's determination not to let Barack Obama be "Swiftboated." In successive segments today, CNN provided a perfect example of the phenomenon. First, a one-sided trashing of Obama Nation, the anti-Barack book by Jerome Corsi, who co-authored Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry. In the succeeding segment, anchor Suzanne Malveaux worried out loud to Paul Begala that Barack Obama might not be responding fast enough to attacks against him, thereby "falling into the same trap as John Kerry."

Introducing the first segment, Situation Room anchor Malveaux didn't hesitate to make unequivocal claims as to the Corsi book's inaccuracy.

SUZANNE MALVEAUX: There's a new book out about Barack Obama, and it is not flattering. The facts are mixed with accusations about Obama that are misleading or just flat-out wrong. Yet despite all of this, there is concern that author's claims might catch on with some voters. Our CNN's Jessica Yellin joining me now, and Jessica, the author even admits that there is an agenda here behind this book

Ummm...Didja ever think criticism of the book is justified? Of course not. You just uncritically gobble up the shit put out by the right wing noise machine as if it were manna from heaven.

Never mind that Corsi's previous effort, "<i>Unfit for Command</i>" was thoroughly discredited and debunked. Never mind Corsi's patently racist postings on right wing BB's. Never mind that Corsi's current effort "<i>Obama Nation</i>", a not so clever play on "abomination" is rife with inaccuracies and demonstrably false information. Hell, Corsi couldn't even get their wedding date right, claiming they were married in 1995, when it was actually 1993. A little digging through the public records would have shown this.

As for the allegations made by the Swiftboat Vets Full O' Shit, further amplified by Corsi in "<i>Unfit for Command</i>", <a href=http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/062608dnnatpickens.3a6c2d1b.html>T. Boone Pickens welshed</a> on his offer to give $1 million to anyone who could prove the swiftboat ads he helped finance were a pack of lies. Ten men who served with Kerry in Viet Nam stepped forward and Picken's reneged, lacking the strength of his convictions. I think it safe to say that Corsi's current effort is no better.

The leats thing you Obamabots want is for the voters to learn about Obama's racist and terrorist friends, his liberal beliefs, his own racism, and tax and spend policies

To you guys, pointing those facts out is a partisan attack, and the person pointing them out is a racist

When were the Swift boaters proven to be liars? Your dad MFM keeps boasting how he proved them to be liars and yet he will not say if he filed his claim for the $1 million reward :laugh2:

AP Shreds Corsi, Pretends Obama Didn't Attend 'Radical Black Church'
By Tim Graham (Bio | Archive)
August 15, 2008 - 10:02 ET

Associated Press aggressively took after Jerome Corsi's book The Obama Nation in a story touting the Obama camp's attempts at rebuttal. Reporter Nedra Pickler repeated the Obama camp's dismissal of Corsi as a "fringe bigot" and declared "The book is a compilation of all the innuendo and false rumors against Obama." Pickler insisted it was somehow a false rumor or an innuendo that Obama "attended a radical black church." Among her complaints about the book's accuracy: "He accuses Obama of wanting to weaken the military even though Obama's campaign calls for adding 65,000 soldiers and 27,000 Marines." She lamented that "Corsi catalogs various allegations that have haunted Obama on right-wing blogs and anonymous e-mails" and openly mocked the conservative World Net Daily website: "Corsi writes for World Net Daily, a conservative Web site whose lead headline Thursday was ‘Astonishing photo claims: Dead Bigfoot stored on ice.'"

Reporting from a Honolulu dateline, suggesting she's on the Obama vacation beat, Pickler began:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama hit back Thursday with a 40-page rebuttal to the best-selling book "The Obama Nation," arguing the author is a fringe bigot peddling rehashed lies.

Jerome Corsi's anti-Obama book, "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," claims the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president. The book is a compilation of all the innuendo and false rumors against Obama — that he was raised a Muslim, attended a radical, black church and secretly has a "black rage" hidden beneath the surface.

In fact, Obama is a Christian who attended Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

The book is a compilation of all the innuendo and false rumors against Obama — that he was raised a Muslim, attended a radical, black church and secretly has a "black rage" hidden beneath the surface.

Lets not forget he was raised by an atheist, that deeply distrusted Christians.

Obama himself wrote in his books about his mother's beliefs:
"I was not raised in a religious household... My mother's own experiences... only reinforced this inherited skepticism. Her memories of the Christians who populated her youth were not fond ones..."

And that religion is a way "that man attempted to control the unknowable and understand the deeper truths about our lives"

I have no doubt Obama is a deeply disturbed individual, probably a result of his upbrining, abandoned by his father, raised by a self-loathing white liberal, his drug induced youth, decades of subscribing to Black Liberation Theology, and a career as a corrupt politician with friends like Rezko and William Ayers. He is a man who is completely bereft of morality because he's never had anyone to teach him any. I don't see how else a human being could turn out to be so cold-blooded that they refuse to try to stop infanticide.

The Obama team is so desperate to attack the new Obama book they can't get their talking points straight

Anyone who has ever watched Fox news knows Bob Beckel is a liberal Dem who ran Mondull's failed 1984 Presidential campaign

Obama Goofs: Bob Beckel's a 'Republican'??
By Tim Graham (Bio | Archive)
August 16, 2008 - 08:05 ET

The liberal media tends to characterize Obama vs. Conservatives as Idealistic Truth vs. Cynical Falsehood. But at his terrific Campaign Blog at NRO, Jim Geraghty has exposed an embarrassing need for fact-checking in Obama's fact-checking "fight the smears" reports.

It would help Obama's campaign if they, while trying to refute Corsi, did not refer to Bob Beckel as a Republican strategist. Twice.

Republican Strategist Bob Beckel Said That He’s Convinced Michelle Obama Meant That She Had Seen People Unify Around The Basic Issues And It Made Her Proud.

Republican Strategist Bob Beckel said about Michelle Obama’s comment, “She should not have said it the way she said it, but in fairness to her, she said that she had seen people unify around the basic issues and it made her proud. But she was talking about was the fact that she was proud that people were starting to deal with politics from the top down. I am convinced that she meant it that way.” [Fox News Roundtable, 2/19/08]

Beckel, of course, managed ultra-lib Walter Mondale's campaign for president in 1984, the one that got steamrollered by Reagan. Now he'll have to fight off the Obama smear. Geraghty jokes: "Attention, Obama campaign: Not everyone who appears on Fox News is a Republican."

AP's Nedra Pickler Has Bigfoot in Mouth in Corsi Controversy
By Tom Blumer (Bio | Archive)
August 16, 2008 - 10:10 ET

The back-and-forth over Jerome Corsi's book, "The Obama Nation," has been heated, largely unfair to the author, and predictably attacked by alleged "objective" journalists and Democratic mouthpieces

In her Thursday hit piece on Corsi's book, here is how Pickler described the online publication where Corsi writes a periodic column:

Corsi writes for World Net Daily, a conservative Web site whose lead headline Thursday was "Astonishing photo claims: Dead Bigfoot stored on ice."

Pickler's purpose, of course was to ridicule the web site, properly identified as WorldNetDaily (without spaces between the words), by comparing it to tabloid publications like the National Enquirer -- even though one of those terrible tabloids has been scooping AP and other traditional media on the John Edwards/Rielle Hunter story for months -- and to attempt to dent Corsi's fundamental credibility.

After all, the self-described and oh-so-dignified "Essential Global News Network" would never-never-never stoop so low as to do a story about Bigfoot.
