View Full Version : Shrub Screws the WORLD once again

Increasingly, the WORLD grows more tired and impatient with the American acceptance of the genius of the little bush.

“The Bush administration's assault on some of the founding principles of American democracy marches onward despite the Democratic victory in the 2006 elections. The new Democratic majorities in Congress can block the sort of noxious measures that the Republican majority rubber-stamped. But preventing new assaults on civil liberties is not nearly enough.

Five years of presidential overreaching and Congressional collaboration continue to exact a high toll in human lives, America’s global reputation and the architecture of democracy. Brutality toward prisoners, and the denial of their human rights, have been institutionalized; unlawful spying on Americans continues; and the courts are being closed to legal challenges of these practices.

It will require forceful steps by this Congress to undo the damage. A few lawmakers are offering bills intended to do just that, but they are only a start. Taking on this task is a moral imperative that will show the world the United States can be tough on terrorism without sacrificing its humanity and the rule of law.

Today we're offering a list - which, sadly, is hardly exhaustive - of things that need to be done to reverse the unwise and lawless policies of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Many will require a rewrite of the Military Commissions Act of 2006, an atrocious measure pushed through Congress with the help of three Republican senators, Arlen Specter, Lindsey Graham and John McCain; Senator McCain lent his moral authority to improving one part of the bill and thus obscured its many other problems.…”

Are there specific alelgations backed by any evidence/fact in this typical, no-substance, loony-left bullshit?

Boo hoo..The world hates us.....

Yet, they have no damn trouble taking our money, or asking for help with protection if they need it, do they? Or expecting us to take care of all the worlds problems...

Hey Psycho, after reading the umpteenth post of yours excoriating President Bush for every problem in the world, I can't help but wonder:

Upon whom will you focus all of your anger and dissatisfaction on once he is out of office?

Do you have a backup universal blame recipient?

As an elected official of some 21 years, a veteran, a citizen and a patriot I can say honestly, abbey, that I have tried time and time again to vote with and support what I considered at the time honest republicon ideals.

I imagine, at this stage and education of my life, I will continue to expose the atrocities and ignorances of any politician that reveals them so blatantly as the present.

You got a problem with that?

iran upped the anti this past week by taking 15 british sailors and marines hostage. They love hostages. They have also tried to take American soldiers along the iraq iran border but failed. Things are slowly heating up there and eventually it will become a shooting war.

will I go? Only if they take 60 year olds with heart conditions. Will you go? iran is the head of the snake as far as the GWOT goes. Taking them out would be even better than taking down saddam.

Since most of the world is run by dictators and socialist governments, it should come as no surprise that most of the world hates Bush, or more accurately hates conservative America. They won't like us until we become more like them, socialist pigs that won't lift a finger to stop tyranny around the world. You fit right into their mold pyscho, you should be proud.

It give me great pleasure to bust your neocon lie wide open:

The number of liberal democracies currently stands at an all-time high and has been growing without interruption for some time. As such, it has been speculated that this trend may continue in the future to the point where liberal democratic nation-states become the universal standard form of human society.

If there is any hatred of "conservative America" it is well deserved especially when you consider that they have done everything in their power to erase 75 years of progress on the world stage. Our word means nothing around the world and it sure as fuck ain't because of America's Liberals. Torture, detainment without trial, using military to run civil society are all indicative of a dictatorship but now, thanks to Chimpy & Company, they describe us, too. Thanks! :fu:

Any President would be absolutely foolish to not be planning for a military confrontation with Iran. The Scenario is all too likely.

As for volunteering, I'd have absolutely no problem, I just have medical conditions. Hence why I haven't. And I can do just as much to serve my country at home right now.

Considering I keep getting told the dictatorship in in Venezuala is a "Democracy" and we frequently get reports from governments such as Cuba or (former) Iraq or Iran where their dictators are "democratically" elected with 100% of the votes, I'd rather see a country by country list before conceding with a wikipedia article.

Also, it's conservatives that have brought progress on the world stage. We brought down the soviets. We freed Eastern Europe. We are thes ones fighting terror. It's Conservative America that is leading the world to freedom, safety and security and it's Liberal America that is doing its darndest to betray our allies and make sure they end up dead in mass genocide.

Heck, you are actually trying to claim Rove is evil and should be in jail, because someone played an April Fools joke on the liberal blogosphere, and despite being repeatedly told its a joke, you dont believe it.
