Wasn't only a couple of years ago that they were playing in (or contending for) the Grand Final? Now they are near the bottom of the ladder.
And Geelong is almost unbeatable. Such a turnaround!

I think gab that Port have accepted that they have now got to deal with generational change. Some of their best players - eg Warren Tredrea - are coming to the end of their football careers. Mark Williams, the coach, has signalled that it's time for a rebuilding and in the last few games he has been putting newer players on the field and they've done pretty well. So I think even next season will be consolidation for Port because this season is just about over for them.

Geelong are on drugs :laugh2:

Just kidding. They have too many excellent players - Ablett is just burning up the turf and they seem to have no weaknesses anywhere in the eighteen on the field. There are some top players in other teams this season, Lance Franklin at Hawthorn and even Brenton Fevola at Carlton (Fevola seems to have sorted out his attitude problem) but other teams aren't clicking like Geelong. The Cats have been known to actually slow up a bit in the last part of the third quarter and into the fourth quarter probably to avoid injury but also because they're so far in front they don't need percentage.

Richmond beat Hawthorn today, that's interesting, the Hawks are on second and the Tigers have been struggling a bit but they're coming back.

But Geelong, they're just too good for everyone this season. If they don't win the Grand Final then there will be shock in the AFL states.
