In a surprising attempt to stifle broadcast criticism of its candidate, the presidential campaign of freshman Illinois senator Barack Obama is organizing supporters to confront Chicago's WGN radio station for having a critic of the Illinois Democrat on its main evening discussion program.

"WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears," Obama's campaign wrote in an e-mail sent to supporters. "He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. (Wednesday night) pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers."

Kurtz, a conservative writer, recently wrote an article for the National Review that examined Obama's ties to Ayers, a former 1960s radical who helped found a protest group that advocated violence....

"It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves," the note continued. "At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies."...

Christenson also stressed that the Obama campaign was invited to send a representative to appear on the show to balance the discussion of the newly-opened documents. But the campaign headquarters just down Michigan Avenue from the station refused the request. This is not the first time Obama's organization has sought to steer supporters to influence a broadcast outlet airing criticism.

"Unsubstantiated"? Barack Obama began his political career at Ayers' house! He is an unrepentant terrorist who set bombs at the Pentagon and police stations, and you have no problem with this? If Bush or McCain had such ties you'd all be screaming what a traitor they'd be. Not to mention, Ayers is just one of Obama's Chicago buddies. There is also Tony Rezko, from whom Obama bought land from in a sweet deal, and paid him back through political favors by funneling him 14 million in tax dollars. And who could forget, besides braindead Obamaphiles, the FACT that Obama sat in the pews of Rev Wright for decades listening to his anti-American and anti-white rants at his black liberation theology church.

Your boy is running on the thinnest resume of any Presidential candidate, and he is among one of the most corrupt, not to mention one of the most far left liberals that is actually promising to trample on the Constitution.

More on Obama's friend John Ayers


John Ruberry over at Marathon Pundit posts an incredible picture of Bill Ayers trashing a U.S. flag. And the photo isn't from Ayers' distant past in the Weather Underground; it's from a Chicago Magazine story written in 2001. It was in that year that Barack Obama and Ayers were serving on the same board, the same year that Ayers made donations to Obama's State Senate campaign, the same year that Ayers was capitalistically touting his biography, Fugitive Days.

"Guilty as sin, free as a bird, it's a great country" was one of the Ayers quotes accompanying the picture in the magazine.

Just last night on Fox News, Kurtz drastically exaggerated Barack's connection with Ayers by claiming Ayers had recruited Barack to the board of the Annenberg Challenge. That is completely false and has been disproved in numerous press accounts.

In fact, the station did offer Obama or a surrogate an opportunity to appear on the show to back up the smearing of Kurtz engaged in by Obama in the email he sent out. But just as Obama avoids going head to head with McCain in town hall meetings, or appear on the Bill O’Reilly show or Sean Hannity’s show, Obama chickens out when his request was agreed to by WGN.

Seems to me that Obama is great at making accusations, calling other people names, engaging in character assassinations, and other adolescent name calling conduct, but when given the opportunity to back up his claims, he runs and hides and changes the subject.

As I have correctly stated, the scary thing about this whole thing is, if it wasn't for the internet and talk radio, hardly anyone would know anything about Obama's attack on political speech! You can bet your bottom dollar if Obama ever gets elected he will use the IRS, the Department of Justice, and any other government tool at his disposal to attack every media source and every individual, which exposes his doings, and would especially attack conservative talk show hosts such as Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, Bill Bennet, Mark Levin, Chuck Baldwin and others.
