I didn't realize this but it does make sense, because of it's close proximity to Russia and the location of our missile defenses.

COMMANDING ALASKA'S GUARD W/ 24/7 MISSILE DEFENSE
POSTED BY UNCLE JIMBO
One area of Sarah Palin's background that may help her is Alaska's unique role in our national security and homeland defense. Several folks have have mentioned this but Tom W. was specific and his info jibes with the record.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska, Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's.

She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't even know about.

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.

She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

Nice try...Hows about doing a little research instead of just parroting whatever crap you dig up on right wing BB's...Or would that be too much like thinking for you?

Maj. Gen. Craig Campbell, adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard, considers Palin ``extremely responsive and smart'' and says she is in charge when it comes to in-state services, such as emergencies and natural disasters where the National Guard is the first responder.

But, in an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, he said he and Palin play no role in national defense activities, even when they involve the Alaska National Guard. The entire operation is under federal control, and the governor is not briefed on situations. - Guardian.co.uk

Well get this......

Recently it was reported that Sarah Palin was mechanially inclined. She has worked on snow machines, rebuilt a motor in a pick up truck and like Obama recommends, changes her oil and properly inflates her tires.

When Obama was asked,"where is the dipstick located in his car?" He replied,"Ah.....I think Joe is in the back seat!"

Is that the best you can come up with? You've been asking where is the executive experience of Palin, and here it is.

Why am I not surprised that you just ignore it? :laugh2:
