Although this has been previously visited,

http://debatepolicy.com/showthread.php?t=12158&highlight=Mental+disorder

http://debatepolicy.com/showthread.php?t=12031&highlight=Mental+disorder

with the events of the last week it seems pertinent to once again visit this subject.
Have we not seen this mental disorder firsthand by most of the Liberals on this board and in the MSM. It's just incredible the hypocrisy that we are seeing from Liberals. Here is a successful woman who made it to the top of her state and she is being demeaned in an irrational way we haven't seen before.

In his penetrating analysis, Dr. Rossiter reveals modern liberalism's assaults on:
# The freedom of adults to make good lives for themselves by cooperating with others
# The ability of families to raise children to be self-reliant and mutual
# The morals, rights and laws that protect our freedoms

"Modern liberalism's irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche." "The Liberal Mind" reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world's political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.

Yep it still applies today. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Now if they could just develop a medication to suppress it.

Liberalism, along with homosexuality, are mental disorders. In any other time the far left wing nuts would be in the insane asylum.

Yes, because Liberals have always been considered nuts during their time.

This is the best presidential debate I've ever seen, and it was fictional. The West Wing, Seventh Season, the Live Debate Episode.

"I know you like to use that word 'liberal' as if it were a crime."

"No. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have used that word. I know Democrats think liberal is a bad word. So bad you had to change it. What do you call yourselves now, progressives? Is that it?"

"It's true. Republicans have tried to turn liberal into a bad word. Well, liberals ended slavery in this country."

"A Republican President ended slavery."

"Yes, a liberal Republican, Senator. What happened to them? They got run out of your party. What did liberals do that was so offensive to the liberal party? I'll tell you what they did. Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act. What did conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things * every one. So when you try to hurl that label at my feet, 'Liberal,' as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work, Senator. Because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor."

HMMM, Was there a point?

Yes.

People of all walks of life are referred to as nuts. These same people are often just "before their time" in terms of changes or discoveries they are/were pushing for.

While I don't call myself a Liberal, I don't think calling them nuts is accurate either.

Anyone who is different than the status quo is "nuts."

Yes.

People of all walks of life are referred to as nuts. These same people are often just "before their time" in terms of changes or discoveries they are/were pushing for.

While I don't call myself a Liberal, I don't think calling them nuts is accurate either.

Anyone who is different than the status quo is "nuts."

If you prefer I will just refer to them as socialists, Marxists or communists.

After all that is the view most Liberals hold.

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868), and various zoning, school & property taxes. Also the Bureau of Land Management.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

Misapplication of the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913, The Social Security Act of 1936.; Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933; and various State "income" taxes. We call it "paying your fair share".

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

We call it Federal & State estate Tax (1916); or reformed Probate Laws, and limited inheritance via arbitrary inheritance tax statutes.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

We call in government seizures, tax liens, Public "law" 99-570 (1986);

Executive order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; the imprisonment of "terrorists" and those who speak out or write against the "government" (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill); or the IRS confiscation of property without due process.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

We call it the Federal Reserve which is a credit/debt system nationally organized by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.

We call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver's licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extention of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Evironmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

8. Equal liablity of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Fedral Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

We call it the Planning Reorganization act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136.

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.

People are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education" .

First of all youre talking about a show with a liberal agenda, that was/is not honest.

Second medicare ruined medicine, it took decisions out of the hands of patients, and put them in the hands of bureaucrats.

Second medicare is going bankrupt, the government does not things better, it makes them worse

and speaking of poverty, social security is given too many people who dont deserve it, and it keeps those with social security in poverty, not lifts them out of poverty

liberalism is not a dirty word, liberal ideas make people rely on the government instead of themselves.

People dont like the government intruding into their lives, so the definition of liberal application is what people object to, not a word.

This is sort of interesting in a stupid way. Consider a person raised in some remote place who one comes down with the strange aliment.

'Doctor, we aint ever seen anything like it, he actually wants to be tolerant and understanding."

"OMG, I think he's caught it! It's rare around here but it's called liberalism."

"Egads, I ain't ever hear of no such thing!"

"Yep, it exists, America was founded on its priciples of constitutional law."

"Is there any help for him?"

"Well, it kinda hard but you gotta tell him he can do anything on his own?"

"And what if that don't work doctor?"

"I'm sorry but after that there is only thing you can try, the Robinson Crusoe cure."

'What's dat doc?"

"Well we take him to a island with no other people and we tell him he has to be self reliant or he just ain't a good conservative."

"Raise crops build houses, all on his own?"

"Yep."

"Well has that ever worked Doc?"

"No, but it's still worth at try as this is a pretty serious illness."

LOL

http://www.conservativenannystate.org/

I wonder if they catch it in places where the word doesn't exist. LOL

A vote for McCain/Palin is a vote against the fundamental principle of America, the right of the individual to lead their life privately without the government interfering.

Yes, because some right-wing kook believes liberals are all nuts, and all you kooks agree with him, then obviously we are all nuts.

I dont see why anyone would be that upset

Just because he is supposedly a top shrink doesnt make his opinion and more or less valid then anyone else

He is not superman, he is a human being.

There are tons of experts in many fields

point: opinions are subjective and like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink

(I am not saying he is wrong or right, I dont think being a democrat makes you nuts, but some POLICIES, seem nutty to me, that is NOT the same as what the shrink is saying)

I dont think one has to be a d*** and call people names to get his point accross, and the doc is a bit of a dick

I cant stand studies that try to call people they dont agree with, evil, stupid, un-american.
