CEDARBURG, Wisc. -- Hundreds of angry people in this small town outside Milwaukee taunted reporters and TV crews traveling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!" and pointing fingers at a pack of journalists as they booed loudly.

On the first leg of the "McCain Street USA" tour -- which will take the Republican presidential nominee and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, to small towns across the heartland -- the 30 or so reporters and crew were walking back to their buses to join the McCain motorcade when hundreds of townspeople started yelling.

"Stop lying! You are all liars! Tell the truth!" one woman yelled from the front of the pack.

The crowd was not menacing or threatening, but was clearly angry.

The media may be in for a big shock as things progress. They may find themselves being banned from appearances, not by the nominees, but by the people in attendance. Could get real interesting real fast.

The people will tear down the media ivory towers.

Totally exaggerated lies, as always with the extreme right-wing bullshit that Stephanie tends to post.

Why not try posting something that is not so partisan. You are getting as senile as McCain is.

Since when is the Washington Times an "extreme right-wing" publication? Why do you blame Steph? It's not her that wrote that article for the WA Times...

Gabby, I read the article in your link, I didn't see anything that debunks Stephanie's link. I saw no mention of the exact words, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. What did I miss?

So the Washington Times is extreme right wing BS but the Journal Sentinal is non-partisan?

I don't know much about the Journal Sentinel, but what evidence do you have that it's less biased?

And it seems to me that both of them are reporting that crowds were angry at the media. What exactly is the lie here?

The Washington Times is owned by the MOONIES! How much more right-wing can you get?
Most major media is very middle of the road. Of course, you consider any publication that dares to criticize GOP candidates or policy as "liberal bias." You want 100 percent agreement, such as Fox News.

Neither of the above attempt to represent themselves as a mainstream daily newspapers.
Come on, you can do better than that. The Washington Times has always worn knee pads around the Bushies.
