It's about time!!!!!!!!!! Only about 50 days left. Americans need the truth and a true choice!!!!!!!!!

Barack Obama has ripped into 72-year-old John McCain calling him an out-of-touch economic illiterate who has slept through the internet revolution, as the war of words resumed on the White House trail today.

The Democrat vowed to wield the "truth" against his Republican adversary's "lies" and seize the policy high ground, but McCain denied resorting to outright untruths in his escalating attacks on Obama.

Questioned by a man frustrated with Obama's response to a Republican "smear campaign", the Illinois senator said in Dover, New Hampshire that Democrats were right to be nervous because "they've seen this movie before".

"I just have a different philosophy, and that is I am going to respond with the truth," he said, expressing confidence that US voters would not be diverted from anxieties over the economy, healthcare, education and war.................

Later in Concord, the Democrat said the choice facing Americans in the November 4 election was stark as he mocked McCain's "maverick" credentials by noting his lock-step voting record with President George Bush.

"The choice could not be clearer. And it's because the choice is so clear that you've seen the other side not want to spend any time talking about the issues," he said.

"They've been talking about lipstick, they've been talking about pigs, they've been talking about Paris (Hilton), they've been talking about Britney (Spears).

"They will spend any amount of money and use any tactic out there in order to avoid talking about how we are going to move America into the future."

In an advertising counter-offensive launched a day after the campaigns called a truce for the seventh anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Obama's camp portrayed McCain as a "gutter" politician, not a principled maverick............

Truth would be nice but I don't think McCain can afford to run a truthful campaign. Truth has a Liberal bias and that would destroy any hope McCain has of reaching the Presidency.

Thats all libs have, 'McCain is Bush III !!!'

I have yet to hear any lib explain how any Senator votes "the same" as the President considering the President doesn't vote on anything.

And how is Barack any different? He votes 99% down party lines with the Democratic Congress. Sounds like more of the same!!

The Democrat vowed to wield the "truth" against his Republican adversary's "lies"
{yawn} Now where have I heard that before?

and seize the policy high ground

Obama? Get real!

the Illinois senator said in Dover, New Hampshire that Democrats were right to be nervous because "they've seen this movie before".

Well, Senator Obama, maybe it is a hint to you that it is time to change your message. The one you have isn't flying.

Socialism is not going to cut it in a free society. Or is the problem you have that we actually live in a free society?

"I just have a different philosophy, and that is I am going to respond with the truth,"

Really? Why don't you start with the truth of your socialism? How about fighting the lies your people are spreading about Senator McCain and Governor Palin? Truth in a political campaign? That will be the day.

"They've been talking about lipstick, they've been talking about pigs, they've been talking about Paris (Hilton), they've been talking about Britney (Spears).

And he hasn't? Let me remind you, "You can put lipstick on a pig; but it is still a pig".

In the meantime, I'll be waiting for Obama to quit jacking us around and actually discuss some issues, but I won't be holding my breath.
