Chiquita Paying Terroist Groups

I was shocked when I saw this on the local news last night. They say they were trying to protect their employees.

Chicita has been paying off people in that region since the 50's. The days of the banana wars. The employees they are paying to protect are their executives assigned to the region. Not the farm workers and laborers. There's a long history of chicitas involvement in that region. And its a region of constant warfare and government changing.

I would like to take these guys at their word that they were truly trying to protect employees,but if they felt threatened,they should have gone to the government for some kind of help

That whole region is about to erupt into another war. Equador is being taken over by a dictator as has venezuela and columbia is about to go down as well or at least the fighting will increase there. The whole area is a timebonb waiting to explode.
