He cant be dead....forever. I heard that the Punisher was going to take over being Captain Amercia, but I think that would be total BS!! He is nothing like Captain America!

I think there comes a time in every mans life they lay the comic books down and grow up.:poke:

Heard about this too, but I think he'll be reincarnated somehow. Haven't read a Captain America issue in about 30 years! He's had a long life at least. :)

Great. He's smoking at me again.

That just means he likes me.

As for CA, guess I have my answer, tho, I've never picked up a comic book in my life...

I've looked (when I was 8 or so) but never read the whole thing, how much more boring can ya get than a comic book?

I dunno..They look too "cartoony".. Didn't watch many of those, either, as a kid, except for The Flintstones, and Woody Woodpecker. :D

I think if comic books feel they must make political statements, they should do so in a less heavy-handed way than killing Captain America.

Not even Richie Rich, or Archie? Used to read them all the time as a kid! Please tell me that you at least enjoyed Mad Magazine!

Don't know the particulars behind his killing, fill us in! Is it politically motivated?

They just finished their civil war between the superheros which was a result of the super human registration act. Captain America was leading the rebellion and surrendered when he saw the damage they were causing. They were escorting him to a courtroom or something (I dont know because I haven't gotten a copy of the compic yet) and he was shot.

Someone shot him... kind of messed up that of all thing someone with a gun killed him.

I havent really been happy with the results of the civil war. Iron man has turned out to be a jerk. Spiderman is a constant target now that everyone knows who he is. Captain America is dead. I mean it was great seeing the look on Jonah's face when he found out Peter Parker was Spiderman, but it completely changed the Spiderman comics for good. Half the thrill was watching him keep others from learning who he was.

Oh well

my husband has about 3 boxes of vintage MAD magazines downstairs...collecting dust. I keep telling him he should sell them to the comic book store a couple blocks away.
