The liberal media is showing their arogance and elitism once again. Newsweek has a picture of Gov Palin with the headline "She's One of the Folks (And that's the problem)

So in one attack, the liberal media mocks Gov Palin and most of America

The Palin Problem
Yes, she won the debate by not imploding. But governing requires knowledge, and mindless populism is just that—mindless.

The question, the McCain campaign later acknowledged, was a fair one. In one of her sit-downs with Katie Couric of CBS News, Sarah Palin was asked to discuss a Supreme Court decision with which she disagreed. "Well, let's see," Palin replied, pausing. "There's, of course in the great history of America there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but …" Couric followed up: "Can you think of any?" Palin, still pondering, said: "Well, I could think of … any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But, you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today." Asked about the exchange afterward, a McCain adviser who didn't want to be named talking about a sensitive matter said the question was fair, but added: "I wonder how many Americans would be able to name decisions they disagree with. The court is very important, but Palin is on the ticket because she connects with everyday Americans."

Palin is on the ticket because she connects with everyday Americans. It is not shocking to learn that politics played a big role in the making of a presidential team (ticket-balancing to attract different constituencies has been with us at least since Andrew Jackson ran with John C. Calhoun, a man he later said he would like to kill). But that honest explanation of the rationale for her candidacy—not her preparedness for office, but her personality and nascent maverickism in Alaska—raises an important question, not only about this election but about democratic leadership. Do we want leaders who are everyday folks, or do we want leaders who understand everyday folks? Therein lies an enormous difference, one that could decide the presidential election and, if McCain and Palin were to win, shape the governance of the nation.

In an interview before her debate with Sen. Joseph R. Biden, Palin offered a revealing answer to radio host Hugh Hewitt. "Governor, your candidacy has ignited extreme hostility, even some hatred on the left and in some parts of the media," Hewitt said. "Are you surprised? And what do you attribute this reaction to?"

Face it Red, Palin is a dummy, your man picked a dummy, I can't figure it out as surely someone on his team had to talk to her. Has nothing to do with where she lives or her roots.

Obama may win, and libs will be smug and happy for awhile. It will be like Carter's 4 years - and then conservatives will have to find a person in the mold of Ronald Reagan to step forward and repair the damage

If Ayers is not important - why is the liberal media not even mentioning John Ayers name, or his past? Are they worried people may have a different opinion of the messiah?

NBC's Andrea Mitchell Hides Ayers Bombing Past
By Geoffrey Dickens (Bio | Archive)
October 6, 2008 - 11:20 ET

Now that Sarah Palin has made Barack Obama's history with William Ayers front and center in the campaign the mainstream media is doing their best to ignore some of the more explosive aspects of Ayers' past. On Monday's "Today" show NBC's Andrea Mitchell merely identified Ayers as a "sixties radical" and cited the New York Times as dismissing the Obama connection as, "the two men do not appear to have been close."

As the following excerpt shows, Mitchell conveniently forgot to mention the reason Palin and other regard Ayers as a terrorist, the fact the he, as a part of the Weather Underground, actually bombed police stations and the Pentagon.

Palin was referring to William Ayers, a sixties radical, now a Chicago education professor. In 1995 Ayers hosted a coffee for Obama, then a state senate candidate. The New York Times reported this weekend that, "the two men do not appear to have been close." And the Obama campaign says they have not spoken since Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate.

Obama aint no elitist

I was thinking about the recent hit on Obama that he is an elitist, isn't it every Americans aspiration to be an elitist. You know one of those people with money who go to Yale and Harvard and party-hardy. Oh, sorry, wrong elitist. Then I thought suppose he is an elitist, do elitist automatically make bad decisions, you know like going to war and not having a clue. Oh, sorry, wrong elitist again. But then finally I got straight and thought what exactly is an elitist. So in search of the truth, I set out to the corner bar here in Hickville PA, you know one of those places with mostly Harleys outside, hay on the floor, three American beers on tap, and a sassy waitress with the sharpest tongue you'll ever hear. And I sat down next to this tough looking character, blue sweat soaked bandanna dungarees heavy black boots and I asked him if he knew what an elitist was? He stared at me with cold blood shot eyes and I thought damn...but then he calmed a little and said the f_king no good sonsofbitches who closed down our factory and moved it to bumfuckegypt. I thanked him and at home checked Obama's bio. No, for sure he ain't no elitist.

Someone tell me what an elitist is?

Common.........I doubt Newsweek used that word. It's more British English, or at least 1930s usage.

She's average, she's mediocre, she's surprisingly poorly educated, she's certainly not bright ---- usually I'd just say that.

I guess the word "common" applies to her sexual appeal, all that beauty pageant stuff which isn't very nice, parading herself around on stage to get men to judge her figure and looks, the smile, the sexual come-on stuff. I think that's the connotation of the word "common," that she's sexually easy, does deliberate appeals men. I would agree with that much, but I think the word is a little out of fashion.

I love the line 'she is one of the folks,' isn't everyone a member of a church that speaks in tongues, who preaches abstinence as their child gets pregnant in the next room, wants to ban books, teach creationism, shoot animals from air planes, fire people because they are separated inlaws, hates whales and polar bears.... Sorry, but that ain't one of the folks, that's a nut case.

Too common? Well, that's an insult to all Americans. Since the common folk are the ones paying their salaries, they should learn where their bread and butter is coming from.

Too common? Give me a break! She doesn't have the creepy people lurking in her background. The American people relate to her because she's down to earth and doesn't stick her nose in the air. She has an air of likeability about her that surpasses all the Washington hot air. They are threatened by her because she is fresh, new, smart, talented, resourseful, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend, and a govenor. She is what she professes to be, a commoner, with the people and country at the forefront of her life. She is what she is, but not all that she could be. And one day, it may be that she'll be president.

A commoner? What the hell is wrong with that?

Stupidity.

Sure, we COULD choose our presidents by lot, Hermie from the corner deli, or the guy who empties your wastebasket at work or the clerk at your local Joanne's Fabric store, but some people hope the person heading the U.S. government will have a better mind than that.

Clearly that hope is sometimes dashed, looking at George W. Bush, but he's not a good reason to go on and on hiring stupid people to be president.

There are bets being placed all over the world on how many days he would serve if he gets elected before he disappears. There are those that say a black extremist will go after him to start a race war. The Charlie Mansons of the world would also like to do him in to start a race war. Then there are the foreign shits that would also try to throw our country into turmoil. He has been involved with the Chicago mob and domestic terrorists, thats obvious, we see where that got Kennedy. He wants to be a symbol, a legend, history........ he has painted a bullseye on himself for years...... someone will take him up on it.

I'm certainly not saying I want any harm coming to him but I wouldn't put a dollar bet on it not happening......... I can certainly understand it.
