The new Iraq war spending bill seems to have more pork in it than a porn convention. What's worse is that, in addition to adding their own pork, Democrats are tacking on a lot of pork for Republican controlled districts in order to try to coerce Republicans to vote for the measure, despite the fact that it includes a withdrawal timetable. This is politics at its worse.

He supports them enough to keep Congress from screwing with timetables that will put troops in additional danger.

And why doesn't it surprise me that Dems are using pork to get their way, after complaining about the GOP doing the exact same thing?
