With only 8 links across the top of the page to choose from, why is one of them "Squirrel Recipes"?

Stir fried Squirrel..............

First you gut him, then tear the hyde off his furry little ass. Repeat on another one.

Cut up the meat into bite size pieces. Place in small pile on cutting board and pour over some mirin or quality chinese cooking wine and allow to soak.

Cut up some mushrooms, onion slivers and bok choy (a cup full or so)

Heat walnut oil in wok. Throw in contents, cook........eat!

If famine, I'd eat squirrel, even skunk. Other than that, no thanks. Filet of anything sounds better. ;)

Filet of anything while having it with you would be even better yet!

I'd like to think so. :laugh2: However reality seems to say different. ;)

.......Emmett pauses and takes in Kathy's statement and then thinks........how nice it would be if he and the maiden Kathy lived a little closer so they could indeed go out to dinner occasionally..........or maybe even more often than that..............................Emmett sighs as he remembers a saying he would hear his grandfather say, "if wishes were riches all beggars would ride....big white horses with a grand long stride!"

Ah, but considering circumstances, all parties are free to do as they choose. Life is good. :cheers2:

Indeed we don't always get we want in life Miss Kathy. While it may not be prudent to flirt with you here on open forum, I still and will always think you are a precious angel just for the record and would tell it to the whole world with absolutely not one singal reservation!

Nighty Night!

Well Miss Abbey.......I must admit they have always been my favorite of the two!
:laugh2:

Kathy knows me so she knows I am only kidding, well sort of. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea! I have had the pleasure of meeting her and she is a charming lady! Intelligence and character radiate from her like heat from the sun. I have to say that what I admire about her most is her sense of dedication to a profession.......correction (in her case I would call it a craft). She keeps up with her students and follws their lives in many cases and can tell of each one's unique talents, attributes and challenges. Frankly, to compare a teacher of her caliber to the offersings of our general education system is like saying a hornet is merely a bee.

The NASCAR fans would love her too.....she has a lead foot!

Back to the subject, sorry Emmett.

I've actually had squirrel and it's not to bad, like most everything else. It takes like chicken, and everyone gets a drumstick.

I've also had alligator, it's chewy, but at least it doesn't taste like chicken. :laugh2:

I've heard skunk is a very undesirable meat. Squirrel, on the other hand, is supposed to be decent.

I need a way to pay the bills around here and I figured text links were the least intrusive way to start. I advertised the spots and would accept anything other than drugs, porn or gambling. These buyers got an extremely good deal on either a 1 months purchase or discounted 6 month purchase. Believe it or not, all 8 links was enough to pay for one month of hosting and $20 towards next month!

In all honesty, I thought you were having some fun. When it first appeared, I laughed. Great way to raise some needed revenue! :cheers2:

That's awesome, Jim!

I think I worded my response wrong. It's actually not very awesome. I "should" have been able to get much more than that. I offered ridiculously low prices to ensure I would get some to take the offer as the bill was due on the 1st (today). I'm still a tad short for next month but still have time to raise the funds. I might try offering some banner space (not Google or major companies but rather independent websites looking to increase their backlinks nad maybe get a few hits out of it as well).

As an example, all those text links and I got enough for 1 1/2 months of hosting. I generally pay about $30 per text links on PR4-5 sites (and usually on the footer section where nobody sees them) and have paid upwards of $100 for links/banners on other political sites/blogs. If I advertised this site on a site with a PR3, and placed text links in prime spots "above the fold", it would have cost me like $200-300, depending on a few other factors as well.
