With the recent polls showing the race tightening and Zogby reporting that McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in one day polling, I thought it might be time for a little Presidential election history.

Now while I don't put any real stock in polls myself, they are too easily manipulated and I generally feel the number of folks polled is too small for my liking, they do make for interesting conversation starters.

Remember Ladies and Gentlemen, don't count your chickens before they hatch.

LOL! I have that poster on my hallway bulletin board!

Now when I look at Yahoo! News I see this on the top:

• AP poll shows Obama backers gleeful, McCain's glum They are doing their part in attempting to supress voting.

This happened at a time when polling was in its infancy. The incident reflects an error no polling organization ever will make again. If Conservatives are hoping for a repeat, they're dreaming an impossible dream.

You just keep putting your hopes and dreams on the pollsters. You might find out that they are not perfect or even that their attempts to manipulate voters failed once again.

I'm not so sure why Obama supporters are so cocky. There are quite a few undecideds in every poll still. Even Bob Beckel said on FOX that it wasn't going to be a wipe out.

That is something that bothers me tho. The undecideds.......how can you STILL not know who you are voting for? Make up your minds allready!!!!

I'm merely commenting on an error made 60 years ago which isn't likely to be repeated. That is, Conservatives shouldn't hold-out hope McCain will defeat Obama because Truman beat Dewey despite the predictions of the polls.

Sorry, buddy, but stating that polls don't mean jack shit one day and then posting them as if they're gospel the next only makes you a hypocrite. You can post the same links for the next 8 years, day in and day out, but the hypocritical stench will remain.

Do you think Michelle Obama is still getting the chitlins ready for Barack and his "dogs"?

Yep, I also think they are already preparing the grounds for a summer watermelon patch since McCain is already mathematically eliminated.

Learn to say........................President Obama

Did you like the way there are not enough electoral votes left in play to get J.Lib elected?

Good call.

McCain has to hold the following states, all of which Bush won, in order to win:

Indiana McCain +0.5
Missouri McCain +0.6
North Dakota McCain +1.0
Georgia McCain +3.0
Arizona McCain +3.5
Montana McCain +3.8

North Carolina Obama +1.3
Florida Obama +4.1
Ohio Obama +5.6
Virginia Obama +6.0
Colorado Obama +6.2
Nevada Obama +6.5

McCain has too many places to play defense - and the state polls are all showing a widening Obama lead. Tuesday night will be like watching Poland get overrun in September 1939.
