They care only about the freedoms of liberals. The rest of us, as far as liberals are concerned, are to damn stupid to know what is best for us - so they have to make those choices for us
So we give up our freedoms for the sake of the common good

...and then little clones of obama (called 'dem little ones) will go to eachuser who has been found guilty on little hover boards and give them a good spanking?...

Liberal groups (funded by George Soros) already monitor talk radio and Fox News and look fer the slightest hint of "hate" speech and racism. If they can't find something they make it up - and the liberal media runs with it
Obama has already shown his displeasure with newspapers and Tv stations that dare to question him by blacklisting them
Reid and Pelosi have openly said they want to bring back the fairness Doctrine - and the reason is to silence any opposing POV's

More like haul them off to re-education centers. Of course the shoot outs would be numerous.
Obama, and indeed anyone, can show displeasure at what ever he wants
They have said they wana bring in a fairness doc. And if they get the mandate of the people then they can do as they please, I do not have a good enough understandng of the US media to rate the value of such a bill, but I would susspect that you would have a vastly diffrant view if it was the libs who had the majority of the air waves and the reps tried tolevel the field.
My post was mainly to point out the level of hyperbole being used, I hope in jest.

Maybe you want the government to regulate political speech on the radio, but many people here in the US do not

The libs already control TV and movies. The only one they don't control is talk radio. It's not a matter of getting equal time. It's a matter of their wanting to shut down conservative shows entirely.

I said I did not know enough about the legislation to talk about it. obviosly you will say it's big brother ect, but I'd expect no less.

Actually, the libs do control the Airwaves. They control TV and the news media with the one exception being Fox News, which could be viewed as a successful counterpart to Air America. Conservatives have little more than Fox News and Conservative Talk Radio and the Dems want to snuff out Conservative Talk Radio because they fault it for this year not being President John Kerry running against a Republican wanna be.

Fox News is not all conservative all the time. I can list you many libs who are on Fox on a daily basis giving their opinion
Meanwhile on MSMBC and CNN the conervatives are far and few between

Chris Matthews Will Be ‘Emotional’ Tonight: We’re ‘Leaping Towards Something Better’
By Rich Noyes (Bio | Archive)
November 4, 2008 - 15:05 ET
On his syndicated Chris Matthews Show on Sunday, the conspicuously pro-Obama MSNBC host announced how he expected that “election night is going to be emotional for all of us....Particularly if it goes in that historic direction, it’s going to be very emotional for everybody. I mean, everybody.”
A few minutes later, in his closing commentary about the election, Matthews (a potential Democratic Senate candidate in 2010) offered a not-very veiled endorsement of Barack Obama, suggesting his election would mean a “leap towards something better and uniting our country as never before in our history.”
So we’ll be more united than we were after 9/11? More united than during World War II? Maybe the bartender who serves the Obama Kool-Aid at MSNBC had better cut Matthews off — he’s had a few too many.
