So D to the Pers, lets see what befalls your eyes every time you log on, and explinations about the story that lead to ya choosing it. But no dirty pics (Yes immie, that means you too)

very nice. my wife is wanting to go back there. hmmmm. as much as i enjoyed it, i am a hoodie guy. but i see her points. she does agree the weather is warmer and nicer here. and, even if we move back up there, i have to take a new bar or in canada, i must complete a different program that lasts 10 months.

i do miss the quiet, the solitude, the grandeur and awe of the NW. never been to alaska, but the power the PNW is something no one can ignore.

The beauty of Alaska is unequaled anywhere, though if I were yo move there, and I have considerd it, I would stay in the south, less snow. And I agree, there is much beauty in the PNW, I would need a cabin in the woods, away from everyone, if I were to live there however. Right now we're looking at Montana, western Wyoming, and western North Carolina.

To be honest with you all, I don't post pictures on boards like this. I really am not sure how to do it.

Do I need to save the picture on my computer and then download the file to the server?

Do I save the picture on my computer and then use the IMG function?

Caution: Teaching me how to do this might turn me into someone like RSR with all the photo posting. :D

Yerps you're pretty spot on. You must have the image saved on your computer. Then when you are typing a new reply in the 'Advanced screen' look to the top of the Grey box which conatians 'fonts, sizes..' ect, one of the images is a black paper clip, click on the clip and a new page will open with the option to browse your files and uplaod an image from your computer.

You can only use the IMG function if the pic is already on the web, inwhich case you type the Images location inbetween IMG tags.

Take a 'Print screen' of the desktop. Done by minimising all the screens and (with most standard keyboards) pressing the 'prt sc' button which should be above your number pad on the right.

Then open a new ms pain page, hold 'ctrl & v' and the desktop image will be pasted into the canvas. Then you can save the files as you please to upload.

I use photobucket. It's a free photo hosting website. Just upload photo's from your computer and it will even provide the tag for you. Or you can always hotlink the photo you want to post directly from the website where you find it, but some folks get pissed at that.

I built the plastic version. with sails. about 2 years. the standing and running rigging was what took so long. but it was a blast. I ordered a covered stand for it. just for protection. every rigging line had to be run thru a block of bee's wax to seal it from humidity. indeed it is a challenge. some of those wooden models complete can cost big $$$$.

Awesome, Warhammer Fantasy was what got me into into it at first (me and a mate clubbed together and bought the Fantasy starter set) he took Orcs i took Empire) from that i got into D&D and Mordhiem (as i was only like 12 they were cheap) and soon got into other Games workshop games.

For me it was the other way around, I started out with AD&D, and eventually, WHRP came out, and I started picking up books. Gotta say, though, Warhammer has the deadliest pre-fabs I've ever seen.

Nice pics, if I ever figure out how I will post mine, LOL

There are a few ways, but assuming that you don't have a photobucket ect then the easiest way is to take a print screen of the desktop and attach the image to your post.

On Windows - Close/minimize all the windows you have open so you can see your desktop. Then press the 'Prt Scn' key on the top righthand of your keyboard, (note- this maybe a secondary function in which case you must hold the 'Prt Scn' and 'Fn' keys at the same time) Then open an image program (Most likely Microsoft Paint) and paste the image ('ctrl' & V key) this should put the image onto the canvas. Then save it somewhere easy to remember.

On Mac - Close/minimize all the windows you have open so you can see your desktop. Take a print screen by holding the 'cmd' 'shift key' and the '3' key at the same time. This will take an image that will now appear in your desktop.

The go make a reply in debatepolicy and click on the paperclip alone the top row of options, and from the pop-up window upload the image. All should be well :)

and i've changed my background again, to this,

Psa 33:12a Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;

Well that's interesting, may start a topic on that in the near future.

Naw man, needs to be nicely boxed away and foldered (:

Alaska, July '08, sunset, around 11:45pm. So yeah, you could say it's the very NW.

I was going to ask if you grabbed one of my SouthEast AK pics.

Looks like Juneau or Sitka area?
