Pretty stupid since we are now at war, and need our intel agencies

Top Two U.S. Intel Officials Likely to Be Shown the Door in Obama Administration
Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell and CIA Director Michael Hayden expect President-elect Barack Obama to replace them.

CIA Director Michael Hayden "would consider staying for a period of time" in a Barack Obama administration, but has no expectation of whether he will keep his post, a U.S. official told FOX News on Wednesday.

Hayden and Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell are both said to be on the chopping block in the next administration, according to a Washington Post report out Wednesday.

According to the Post, which cited senior intelligence officials, several prominent congressional Democrats oppose retaining McConnell and Hayden because both have publicly supported Bush administration policies on interrogation and telephone surveillance.

However, a senior Obama-Biden transition team aide told FOX News on Wednesday that "no decisions have been made" regarding McConnell and Hayden.

The official speaking about Hayden said he "does not have an expectations one way or another" about his future at the spy agency and has a high regard "for the people and the mission."

"As Mike Hayden has told his workforce, he recognizes that he not only is privileged to lead the agency, but he serves at the pleasure of the president," the official said. "He doesn't have any expectations one way or the other. He is focused on getting the job done."

This official also questioned Washington Post sources who said Hayden believes he would be replaced early.

Republican strategist Chip Saltsman said Obama may want to keep the two intelligence chiefs for a while to maintain continuity during his transition.

"If Vice President-elect Biden is right, he said Barack Obama is going to be tested in the first six months of his administration. If that's true, I think that Barack Obama might want to keep some stability in the intelligence communities out there," he said.

Hayfen has done a great job rebuilding the CIA into a more efficient organization.

So change means simply change for the sake of change. Doesn't matter if something is not broken or working well, we are going to change it anyway.

Obama wants minions. He has no use for men who do not bow down to the illustrious leader in blind loyalty.

Where is the bipartisanship he proclaims to inspire?

Time to weed out the political ideologues installed by the Bush administration and get some real intel pros back into service. You do realize the the human intel was all but destroyed by the Clinton admin. it has taken Bush and company 8 years to try to rebuild what he tore apart in just a couple. Clinton damn near ruined our ability to have human intelligence personnel on the ground he thought you could just see everything from space and look at that invention by Gore you know the internet.... To find out everything going on in the world. Is that the type of "Pro's" YOU want back heading our intelligence agencies????

The intelligence agencies are not "republican" or "democrat". They don't have a particular "ideology" the are there for the protection of the US

This is just Obama trying to put people in places so he can control our agencies if you think otherwise your just fooling yourself Bully....
