of any good new political boards out there. Since I've been more active I was thinking of adding one more to the two I regularly visit.

I like DU, I don't post a lot there but it's informative and yes it can be a bit over the top but it can be bloody funny as well. But then I suppose if you're a humourless right wingnut you'd be a bit like me lurking at Freeperville - speechless.

Try this one.

If you go there don't forget to recommend

I am in full agreement with Yurt. If you were to leave, you would be missed. You were missed when you were gone for that time.

Exploring isn't so bad though.

Chuck did exactly what I would have done in the past and what he thinks I would have expected of him. This wasn't him making a decision but following what I asked of staff all along.

With that said, feel free to share links amongst yourselves to other boards you think the members may enjoy. I don't like others coming here for free advertising but sharing other interests with board members is cool with me. If someone is going to go elsewhere, they are going to go whether a link is visible on the board or not.

Diuretic, please re-post your link for LN.

Thanks for the advice about the edit jackass - not impressed. You could have sent me a pm, that would have been good.

A pm would have been good. I mod elsewhere with a different nick and any time I mod I always, but always, explain to the poster in a pm why I did something. The pm would have been along the lines of, "had to edit our your links, promoting other sites is prohibited here, please check the TOS" and that's that. Usually people are okay with it, provided they're told why it was done. Otherwise it looks like a mod smack.

Jackass, you may wish to consider that point. My opinion still hasn't changed, a pm would have been good. I don't jack up mods because I know what a shit job it can be but I don't mind receiving feedback and I'm happy to give it as well. I'm not cranky but I was just a bit annoyed.

No harm done Jim, I won't post links to other sites again.

Did you read my follow up to Chuck's post to you? I stated it's cool with me to post links to other boards. Chuck only did what I asked of him in the past but I have changed my views.

And while I do see your POV regarding sending a PM to a user, sometimes staff feels best to give a public explanation to keep the action from being repeated by more members.

No harm done by anyone, no fouls, feel free to exchange links.

Thanks Jim. Not spitting the dummy here, I'll watch myself in future. No hard feelings with Jackass, as I said, modding can be a difficult job (if this were the "Macrame-Is-Us" forum (no offence meant to macrame folks of course)* the job would be a doddle but it's a political forum and them's the toughtest to mod.

*I just know I'm going to get a flogging from a macrame fan, I just know it.

Here are a few other political sites that you may or may not be aware of. Some are better than others but I understand that everyone would be looking for something different.

I may or may not be a member of some of these sites, or all of them. My reputation precedes me, so sometimes it may be necessary to go undercover. :)
